Oni Link and MM Link
I put this together from two official art pics (surprise, that's what I always do, credit to Nintendo if you couldn't guess). I originally just wanted to give Fierce Diety Link a better background but I ended up doing this instead. Nothing too complicated but it turned out quite cool I think.

i was always wondering, wat does "diety" mean?

It means 'god' or like, person with godlike powers, a demigod if you will. I've heard him called Oni-Link (perhaps in the japanese MM that was his name?) too, and that means demon. Funny how the American and Japanese names for this particular character mean almost exact opposite...But, to comment on the pic, I like the background. Yellow and green go well together. I like how the Links are like, blended into the background as well

the reason you have fierce diety link vs. oni link is that nintendo believes americans to be religious pansies, who wouldn't stand for something which has the word "demon" in it. sadly, they might be right, considering the interest groups prominent in this "open-minded" country of ours. Nota Bene: Deity can be any knid of divine entity, or supernatural person

In my opinion "diety" makes him sound more powerful than "demon" does. That's just me. And I never heard the term "oni link" until I found the official art pic. Would that make the Fierce Diety's Mask be the Oni Mask? Demon mask then? hmmm...wierd. Link's supposed to be a hero, so diety fits it better I think.

Ya know, Oni Link is a shortened version of the much-harder-to-use-in-everyday-speech Fierce Deity Link. It's basically Link infused with the power of the Fierce Deity Mask to give him uber powers and beam sword attacks.
