first off, this not wallpaper size... its large, but square... computers are not square... amazing drawing tho... it reminds me of a horizontally flipped version of the MM map...

Well, It's 72 pixels wider than 1600x1200, which is a common divisible (1024x768, 800x600, 640x480) non-wide screen standard aspect, and at the time this was drawn, not many people had wide screens. Because of that, these dimensions were really the only feasible ones. So it was quite easily applied as a desktop with very, very, very little cropping or stretching. I had it as my own for a while, then I got a computer that had a wide screen, as are more and more people now. It's not "square," it's just made to fit the aspect ratio of older monitors.

unfortunately, i have a widescreen monitor. dte's right, it DOES look a bit like the majora's mask map. well drawn.
