A bit of Terragen
Eh. I'm getting that hunger for really epic landscapes again, now that I've read l-o-s' post on the landscape designer for TP. Being something of a mapper myself, i know the desire to make massive, amazing landscapes altogether to well. It's the kind of endeavor not many get to fullfil, except in programs like Terragen.

This picture also enjoys the role of being the top banner for my website, Cube Legends. Cube Legends, for the newcomers to this gallery, is a game Mod that i started over a year ago, orignally about Zelda, but now it's branched off into a different direction.

TERRAGEN!!! i like that program. and in case you forgot, you got me started on it. hey, what'd you use to stitch the pics together? and what's that green stripe at the bottom? you should work on the surface map, there's a good tutorial or 2 at the terragen homepage. i used to suck at the surface maps. i still do, in fact, just not as bad. i like the clouds, except for the crooked one in the middle. are they 3D or 2D? umm... oh yeah, if you haven't already, look into getting DEMs of real places on Earth, they're usually more impressive than procedural terrains like this. i like that first valley on the left, it's sort of like a glacier. next time do a bigger picture size. and...... i'm done. bye.
