Beautiful, really awesome!! n_n
dudeofrandomness  [Feb 07, 2005 at 03:57 PM]
Wow. Awesome. My only gripe is that Zelda's supposed to be blonde...have you tried turning Natalie Portman's hair blonde? (via photoshop of course)
Hero_of_Light  [Feb 07, 2005 at 09:02 PM]
This is as blonde as her hair can get by manipulating the existing pixels. I would have to use an external source for her hair to make it the platinum blonde it is in the games. In the original source photo her hair is nearly black.
NightStar  [Feb 07, 2005 at 11:46 PM]
That's blonde enough if she's being modeled after the OoT Zelda. Her hair was a blonde/brown color in that game.

Natalie Portman, eh? My ideal choice for Zelda as a real person would have to be Nichole Kiddman. Nice work on the dress, as well.

I think of Nicole Kidman as too tall and a little old for Zelda. She's 5' 10", and 37 years old and that just doesn't seem like the right coice to me. Natalie is 24 and 5' 2" with just the right kind of face, in my opinion.
Nemorensis  [Feb 10, 2005 at 03:06 AM]
Yes, good point. I didn't take into consideration her height....So, yes, I'd have to maybe think about this a bit more.... Also, one question: what tool did you use for the tiara?
Hero_of_Light  [Feb 13, 2005 at 07:56 PM]
I actually just copped out and used the paintbrush tool. I've got motivational issues... (aka lazy). It's not a tiara, by the way, it's a circlet. A tiara is worn on the top of the head, a circlet is worn around the forehead.
Koroks Rock  [Feb 13, 2005 at 10:56 PM]
huh. i didn't know that distinction. handy. and why in freyr's name do you have their heights memeorized? kinda odd...
Hero_of_Light  [Feb 14, 2005 at 10:14 PM]
First and foremost, I have a strange attraction to the actress in question. I find her intensely attractive and I have for the last ten years We're about the same age and I saw her in The Professional when it first came out, she's been my favorite actress since then. Aside from that, being an artist gives you a good eye for proportions, eyes, heads, hands, and shoulders give you a great tool to gauge someone's height and weight. I highly recommend that all artists develop this skill. I just went onto IMDB.com and looked up their heights and I was right within an inch on both. I have a brand new pencil portrait of her if you'd like to see it.

That's cool! Vereh!! OH, you might want to consider giving her the proper clothing choice!
Nemorensis  [Feb 20, 2005 at 12:35 AM]
Oh my God, I would love to see it! And I didn't know the difference between a tiara and a circlet....Thanks for the correction. ^.^
Hero_of_Light  [Feb 20, 2005 at 07:04 PM]
CitB, the reference photo I was working from had her in a backless, very modern, skirt and blouse. It would be much harder to get a suitable headshot, body shot with correct clothing, hair reference and blend it all seamlessly together. Once again my laziness bred improvisation. Now she's actually wearing a bed sheet. My own little touch.

*grawls your head off H_o_L* ^_^; How about we just say you were lazy and I was umm.. being CitB so.. there. ^_^;

*punches nemorensis* On another observation it looks like she has a tan-line right on her shoulder.
hyrulegoddess  [Jun 05, 2005 at 03:30 PM]
That's wonderful!
Hyrulegirl  [Jun 09, 2005 at 11:31 PM]
sweeeeeeeeeet. no, cooler than sweet.
Warwing  [Jun 11, 2005 at 06:29 PM]
This poster is impresive. Natalie Portman played very well as Queen Amidala and would play an awesome zelda plus she matches a good description of zelda and she is kinda cute
RICKY  [Jun 19, 2005 at 06:54 PM]
Not just Nice it is SWEET! Wonder if a Zelda movie could work though? Votes 5!
Warwing  [Jun 19, 2005 at 07:00 PM]
I think a Zelda movie would be awesome. Some say it could be made in 2006. This poster is awesome. I wonder where hero of light is.
DarkZelda  [Aug 30, 2005 at 12:05 AM]

a link in the future  [Jun 26, 2006 at 02:05 AM]
the big N says that they do not want a zelda movie 'cus the mario bros. movie was REALLY BAD but it was made so long ago that they didn't have the right computer tec to do it but Nintendo is too stubborn to see that.
