Triforce of Wisdom
Wow. Long time no see, people.

So I found myself doodling Zelda the other day (something I haven't done in a long time) and thought, hey! I'll upload this! And here we are, one Zelda pencil sketch later. I definitely think my drawing's improved in the time I was away. =D

I used character art as reference, which is how I was able to draw the detailed hairtie and stuff. (Darn intricate headpiece.) I don't usually draw characters from behind, so I'm pleased it came out so well. I added the sepia tone with my comp- I used mechanical pencil for Zelda herself, and an HB pencil for some of the shading. Hm, if I had more time I'd add a proper dark background, but... Anyway.

Comments greatly appreciated!

I flicked through your gallery and I can see improvement. But I need to point out flaws; 1) Her eye looks really weird. Bring it back and make it smaller. 2) Her body anatomy is not balance but other than that it's okay. 3) Her arm is bending a little awkwardly. and 4)*Hey I counted to 4 * Her neck is too long. I'm sorry I had to point these out but like I said you have improved. Don't take this as critisism take as advice to improve. Alot of my fav artits have done that for me and I'm still learning and improving!

I totally agree, with the fact that the neck is way to long and her eye is weird. Apart from that, its pretty perfect. (apart from that it looks like she's about to fall over) you are very good at shading and drawing light correctly. somthing that i myself am improving on

Yay concrit! *munches* Thanks a lot, the both of you.^^ The annoying thing about eyes in TP is that they're all tilted upwards, something that I can never pull off properly. Hence, the eyes I draw almost always look weird. I'm constantly having trouble with necks (damn, and I I thought I almost had it that time), so I agree with you. This is, like, the second time I've drawn a character from behind, so... (I tried to make it look like she was turning around, but.) ...Why is it that I can never remember to say these things in the artist's comments box? XD
