The file size is larger than I usually keep my jpegs at, but it was hard to cut down on this one with all the color information to store. The only thing that bugs me a little is that there's all the random sizes of heads and stuff. Oh, and let's all say a big horray! for ML because her crisp drawings and the magic wand tool made this put-together a breeze.dudeofrandomness

islands_bg.jpgZunari's Homeland1208 viewsI'm just taking a break from modelling for now, and am playing around with a program called terragen. It's chief use is making skyboxes, but it can also be useful for artistic wallpapers like this.
The idea was to make a group of islands that would resemble Zunari's (the shop guy in WW) homeland, which is supposed to be all cold and snowy. Originally I had it much, much more snowy, but I decided it wasn't very visually engaging, so I severely turned down the snow and added plenty of rock and a little grass. In retrospect I wish I had kept more of the snow. Oh well.
I don't even want to know how many quadrilaterals this had, it took my computer 11 minutes to render.Koroks Rock

amazingly this only took up 1 500 kb.. meaning i had at least 500 kb left to upload. guess i could have made it longer.. i was hoping to add sound effects (makes the animation way better if theres sound) but whenever i convert it to flash the sound gets screwed up and plays at the wrong times so.. ah well. ive only played one rayman game and the dude was like shooting balls (er- glowing balls) and stuff. i wanted to put a face on link, but that wouldnt have worked since i wouldnt be able to animate the face.
