Chapter 1: The Hunt begins
" What? Who are you? Link? You now have the honor of carrying me, I have to find mother's sapphire... There it is! Thank you hero. WAAAH! HELP ME!... Thanks, you looked pretty cool when you fought off that giant monster. What? You seek the Zora's Sapphire? You know, giving someone the Zora's Sapphire is like an engagment ring, if I give this to you, you have to promise to marry me..."
" Princess, oh Princerss Ruto. Please wake up." Ruto reluctantly opens her eyes and sits upright on her bed. " What is it Zarla, what is so important that you hade to disturb such a wonderful dream?"
" My apologies, miss, but your father wishes to talk to you.
Ruto stared blankly into space, she already knew what her father was going to talk to her about, " Thank you Zarla, you can go now." The Zora maid bowed her head and walked away,
Ruto then got out of bed and looked into the mirror, " Oh Link," she thought, " I had to wait another seven years, ever since Zelda decided to give back the seven years of your life that you missed, kinda strange that the only people that remmember that event is me, link, zelda, and the rest of the sages. *sigh* Oh well." Ruto put on some ear rings and started towards the throne room. At the entrance the gaurds saluted her and at the same time said, " Good morning Princess." Ruto smiled at their obediance but then her thoughts returned to her father.
" My dear Ruto, You have finally come of age. Today is the day you will marry and become Queen Ruto of Zora's Domain. Now, I have found some Zora men that I think are worthy to be your king."
" But father," Ruto pleaded, " I do not wish to marry." She paused for a moment and said, " Not to the Zora men, anyway."
" WHAT!?" The king screamed, " Please don't tell me you seek the Zora women?
Ruto turned red and screamed, " WHAT!? NO!! I simply ment that I had someone else in mind."
The king sighed in relief and asked, " Who."
Ruto blushed and answered, " Link."
