Chapter 1: Prologue: Link and Princess Zelda
They were sitting in the beautiful courtyards of Hyrule Castle. Link, a young Hylian boy, was sitting with Zelda, the beautiful princess whom he loved while watching the sun set. It was a long day for them both, Link had defeated Ganondorf, the evil king to save Princess Zelda. Midna had returned to the Twilight Realm to rule her people once more after Zant had gained control over her kingdom. Midna was Links companion. She stuck beside him until the end. Link was the "Divine Beast" and the "Hero Chosen By the Gods", he was prophesied to save both the Twilight Princess and The Princess of Hyrule's kingdoms. Link had fulfilled the prophecy of legend, now his sits watching the sun set as he remembers the days events. Zelda, sitting beside him, leans her head on his chest. Link put his arm around her.
"I'm glad you're safe, Princess," Link said. Zelda nodded.
"I am glad to be safe too, Link. I was scared you wouldn't come rescue me," Zelda said quietly.
"Why wouldn't I come? It's my destiny to protect you, it's what I was created for. It was foretold in the legends I would save you," Link pulled the princess closer, she hugged him tighter.
"I thought you had already been killed. I was locked in a room for ages, I had begun to lose hope. I knew you wouldn't just forget about me, so after a while I believed you were dead."
"I finally saved you. Hyrule. Has been restored to a state of peace. Everything is perfect now because I finally have you back here with me. I love you, Zelda, more than anything in all of Hyrule." They sat silently for a while. Princess Zelda broke the silence.
"Will you marry me, Link?" Zelda asked.
"Yes Zelda, of course I'd marry you. To have and to hold forever more, till death do us part, I will take you as my wife. I promise before you are 17 I will make you my bride." Link whispered in her ear. "Forever will you be mine, and I yours. To love and to cherish, for better or for worse, I Link, take thee Zelda as my bride. I present this woman with a ring as a symbol of my devotion. I will love, honor and protect her until the moment my heart stops beating. With the sacred deities as witnesses, I be joined with Zelda in holy matrimony." Link recited. Tears had begun to stream down Zelda's face. Link gently brushed a tear from her cheek.
"I love you, Link," Zelda whispered.
"I love you too, Zelda," he replied. It was getting dark, so Link kissed Zelda's hand then started his long journey to the village of Ordon. As he lay in bed trying to fall asleep, all Link could think about was Zelda. That night, she filled his dreams, laughing and smiling as if she hadn't a care in the world. Link was mesmerized by her beauty as she skipped off singing a beautiful tune that sounded vaguely familiar. Link thought he knew the song, but he's not sure why. Before he could follow her and ask about the song, something stirred him awake.
"I'm glad you're safe, Princess," Link said. Zelda nodded.
"I am glad to be safe too, Link. I was scared you wouldn't come rescue me," Zelda said quietly.
