The Five Links

"So I guess we have to go to the Tower of Winds.", Green slowly said. "But, what if it's a trap?"

Vio looked at Green, and then at Blue. "We have to take the chance..." Vio stated. Blue was crying on Red's bed. Vio walked over to Blue and sat next to him on the bed.

"It's okay Blue, it wasn't your fault Red got kidnapped.", Vio ensured as he placed his arm on Blue's shoulder. "Don't cry." Blue looked up at Vio angrily.

"I'm NOT crying!" Blue snapped." My eyes are tearing from when Vaati kicked me in my stomach..." Vio rolled his eyes. Blue then picked up a stuffed animal that belonged to Red, and hugged it tightly. ' I'm sorry Red, I let my guard down...' , he thought to himself. Green and Zelda were talking about what they should do when Blue suddenly shot up. "I'm going to the Tower of Winds tomorrow night!" Blue declared. Zelda and Green looked at him with disapproval.

"If you go alone, you'll be killed! It's best if we travel together!", Green objected. "the Four Sword is stronger when there's more than one Link together." Blue glared at Green, and Green glared back. "Blue, no matter what you say or do; me and Vio are coming with you too." Vio and Green smiled at Blue, Blue frowned but then let out a small smile.

"If you guys honestly want to tag along, you can.", Blue teased. Zelda smiled.

"Be safe, I'll communicate with you guys telepathically.", Zelda stated. Green looked at her.

"What are you talking about, Zelda? You're coming too.", Green winked. Zelda looked surprised.

"What are you talking about?!", Zelda yelled, "My parents will be furious!" Green, Vio, and Blue looked at each other.

"We'll keep you safe, and have you back by morning.", Green, Blue, and Vio all said in unison.

Zelda sighed, "There's no point in arguing with you guys. Fine, I'll go with you all tomorrow night." The three Links all smiled, and Zelda smiled back. "It's getting late, we all need to get plenty of rest if we plan on retrieving Red." The Links nodded, and then they headed to prepare for bed.

Little did they know they were being watched.

Just outside on Red and Blue's balcony; a figure emerged slowly from the shadows. He moved his purple hair to behind his pointy ears, so it wasn't in his cold, blue eyes. His black tunic and hat swirled violently around his body due to the strong, dark winds. This figure was Shadow Link. "so these idiots are planning on rescuing Red? Well, hm hm hm, destroying them will be fun.", Shadow laughed icily. He looked up towards Death Mountain, illuminated by the full-moon; the Tower of Wind's base was visible. "I'll need to tell master Vaati about their plans." Shadow then jumped up stealthily and soundlessly onto Vio's balcony. As soon as his landed on the balcony's railing, Vio came outside in his pajamas. Vio froze when he saw Shadow just standing there, then he slowly approached the shadowy boy. Vio's blonde hair was blowing all around his face, and his pajamas were being blown around him. His eyes let out tears of joy, which became cold, when the icy wind touched them. Shadow looked down at Vio.

"Shadow...you've come back....", Vio smiled. Shadow was confused by Vio's words.

'Who is he?...He look's so familiar to me....' Shadow thought to himself. Vio was now standing right in front of Shadow, he then looked into Shadow's eyes. Vio knew something was wrong.

"Shadow... something's wrong....", Vio whispered as he reached out to Shadow. Shadow quickly jumped over Vio, and landed behind him. Shadow then kicked Vio's back, and Vio fell onto the stone floor of the balcony. Shadow then walked over to the limp figure on the ground. He gently poked Vio with the tip of his boot.

"If I were you,", Shadow smirked. "I would've just walked away when I had the chance..." Vio just laid there, then Shadow quickly drew his sword, and held it up to Vio's neck. "I guess I'll just destroy you where you lay." Shadow examined the blonde-haired boy that laid in front of him. Shadow then tried to deliver the final blow..........but he couldn't. Vio slowly opened his eyes, and saw the look of confusion on Shadow's face. "Grrr...why can't I destroy you!?" Shadow growled, and Vio smiled.

"You can't kill me because we are friends.", Vio stated. Shadow backed away from Vio. Shadow looked at Vio with a look of shock on his face.

"I'D NEVER BEFRIEND THE ENEMY!", Shadow shouted, "YOU ARE PROBABLY CONFUSING ME WITH SOMEONE ELSE!" Then Shadow decided that it was time for him to make his escape. Shadow began to teleport away, as Vio tried to reach out to him. Then Vio was alone on the cold, dark balcony.

"I promise that I'll find out what's wrong with you Shadow...", Vio whispered, "And I'm going to fix it!" Vio then headed in to his room to sleep, tomorrow was going to be a big day.
