This massive tome covers everything imaginable in our world -- from the lowliest Deku Scrub to the holy Triforce itself. This has been my life's work for as long as I can remember. It is my goal to eventually provide an entry for everything which ever existed in Hyrule, a goal that I hope to reach before my days come to an end. I hope my work helps you to find the enlightenment you seek. Game Legend Beside each entry in the Encyclopedia, you will notice codes such as Z1, Z2 or Z3. These codes refer to which game or games apply to each individual entry. Use this legend to decipher our coding system: Z1 - The Legend of Zelda Z2 - Zelda II: The Adventure of Link Z3- The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Z4 - The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening Z4.5 - The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX Z5 - The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Z6 - The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask Z7 - The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages Z8 - The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons Please note that the code Z4.5 is only used when an entry appears in the DX version of Link's Awakening and not the regular version. Link took pity on this foul-smelling friend by providing it with some much-needed toilet paper. 1/2 Magic - Z3 Granted by a tiny demon that lives in a well near the Blacksmith's house, the 1/2 Magic curse reduces all magic consumption by one half. This curse is actually a favorable condition. Ache - Z2 Similar to Keese, Aches are a slightly different species of bat that hide in cave ceilings and swoop down on their prey. Acorn of Defense - Z4 Found scattered throughout Koholint Island, Acorns of Defense are magical seeds that can increase the defensive power of anyone lucky enough to find them. Adult Wallet - Z5 Larger than a normal Rupee purse, the Adult Wallet can hold 200 Rupees. Agahnim - Z3 Agahnim is a wandering wizard who assisted the Royal Family at a time when Hyrule was plagued by flood, famine and disease. Agahnim played the role of trusted advisor for a time, but soon he displayed his true colors and seized power for himself. After imprisoning the Seven Sages and Princess Zelda, Agahnim uses his magic to break the seal that imprisons Ganon in the Dark World. Agahnim is defeated by his own dark magic thanks to Link's quick thinking. Agahnim's Shadow - Z4 During Link's final battle in Koholint Island's Wind Fish Egg, he faces a series of dark guardians that are shadows of his former foes. The second of these creatures to appear is Agahnim's Shadow, which Link defeats by deflecting its magical attacks with his sword. All-Night Mask - Z6 The All-Night Mask allows its owner to stay awake. Link uses this mask to keep his eyes open during Anju's Grandmother's stories. Amy - Z5 One of four Poe Sisters who haunts the Forest Temple until Link is able to put her soul to rest. Angler Fish - Z4 The Angler Fish is the guardian of the Angler's Tunnel, where Link recovers the Surf Harp on his quest to wake the Wind Fish. The Angler Fish is big enough to swallow Link whole, but the Hero of Time is able to defeat it by attacking its vulnerable feeler. Angler Key - Z4 The Angler Key is used to open the main entrance to the Angler's Tunnel on Koholint Island. Angler's Tunnel - Z4 Found on Koholint Island, the Angler's Tunnel is one of the eight dungeons Link conquers during his quest to wake the Wind Fish. In the Tunnel, Link finds the Flippers and defeats the Angler Fish to get the Surf Harp. Animal Village - Z4 Located in the southeast corner of Koholint Island, Animal Village is a small town where many different kinds of animals live together in harmony. These animals have been blessed with the power of speech, which allows them to provide Link with valuable clues when he passes through their village. Anju - Z6 Anju is a sweet but scatter-brained woman who runs the Stock-Pot Inn during Link's quest to save Termina. Anju's Grandmother - Z6 Known as "Granny" to her friends, this kind old woman spends her golden years telling fabulous tales in the Stock Pot Inn. To calm his nerves and pass the time, Link often visits this sweet old lady. Anju's Letter - Z6 Anju's Letter is perhaps the most famous love letter in Terminan history. Delivered by Link, this document helps to reunite Anju with her fianc* Kafei. Ancient Castle of Ikana - Z6 Located in Termina's Ikana Canyon, this extremely old structure is crawling with undead spirits until Link bravely brings peace to its halls. Anubis - Z5 Resembling a large cobra, the Anubis floats along the ground while waiting to strike its prey. Apple - Z3 Hyrulian Apples are so juicy and firm that they instantly replenish the drained energy of anyone who eats one. Aquamentus - Z1 Aquamentus is a feared dungeon guardian resembling an evil unicorn. Link defeats this beast by striking its vulnerable horn. Arm-Mimic - Z4 Native to Koholint Island, Arm-Mimics are tiny robed creatures that impersonate the movements of anyone who crosses their path. Armos Statues - Z1, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6 Odd Armos Statues take the form of large stone figures, but sometimes they come to life and attack anyone who touches them. Armos Statues are armed with swords and shields. Arrghus - Z3 Arrghus is the guardian of the Swamp Palace, where Link recovers a magical Crystal on his quest to unlock the entrance to Ganon's Tower. Arrghus is a massive one-eyed jellyfish surrounded by a teeming mass of puffy offspring. Astral Observatory - Z6 Located just outside Clock Town, the Astral Observatory is the center for astronomical research in Termina. It boasts the biggest telescope ever created in Termina. Baby Dodongos - Z5 Unlike other infants of the animal world, these worm-like monsters are anything but cute. Just when their victims expect it least, a gang of Baby Dodongos can tunnel out of the ground and hungrily attack. Bad Bat - Z6 Similar to Hyrulian Keese, Bad Bats are nocturnal creatures that fill Termina's night sky. They primarily dine on small mammals, but Bad Bats have been known to attack larger creatures when they have not eaten in a while. Bait See "Monster Bait." Ballad of the Wind Fish - Z4 When Link is stranded on Koholint Island, his main objective is to awaken the Wind Fish. By playing the Ballad of the Wind Fish at the proper location, Link is able to reach his goal. Bananas - Z4 During his adventure on Koholint Island, Link makes Sale the Alligator very happy by giving him some Canned Dog Food. In return, Link receives the Bananas. Link trades like this with many of the island's inhabitants, and in the end his kindness is rewarded with the Magnifying Glass. Barba - Z2 Barba is the guardian of Three Eye Rock Palace, where Link recovers one of the six Magic Crystal shards necessary to rouse Princess Zelda from her unnatural slumber. Bari - Z5 Bari are huge gelatinous masses equipped with an electric offensive attack. They hide above their prey, and drop down on individuals who wander across their path. Bari are parasitic creatures who can only survive inside the body of a living host. Barinade - Z5 Barinade is the name of the monstrous parasite that Link has to manually remove from Lord Jabu-Jabu's belly. A nucleus of throbbing nerves surrounded by a living shell of Bari, Barinade proves to be challenging foe for Link to defeat. Battle Bats - Z4 Battle Bats is the name given to the six Keese controlled by the Grim Creeper in Eagle's Tower. Bazaar - Z5, Z6 A small shop that sells a variety of wares. Bazaars are found commonly throughout Hyrule and Termina. Beamos - Z3, Z5, Z6 The lone eye of the Beamos is constantly surveying its territory, on the lookout for intruders to fry with a blast from its white-hot laser. Although Beamos installations are firmly connected to the ground, their laser attacks can move in all directions while searching for a target to skewer. Beaver Bros. - Z6 The Beaver Bros. are a comical duo that lives atop the Waterfall Rapids in Termina's Great Bay Coast. They innocently challenge Link to a race, not realizing that they are writing themselves a place in Terminan history. Bees - Z3 A common sight in Hyrule, peaceful honey bees are not a nuisance unless disturbed. Beetle - Z4 Native to Koholint Island, Beetles are small insects with incredibly hard shells. The only way to defeat a Beetle is to flip it on its back. Beth - Z5 One of four Poe Sisters who haunted the Forest Temple until Link is able to put her soul to rest. Big Key - Z3, Z7, Z8 Big Keys are well-hidden keys that are often used to unlock the lairs of dungeon guardians. Big Octos - Z6 Big Octos live in Termina's Southern Swamp. They are exact replicas of their Octorok cousins, but about ten times as large. Big Poe - Z6 Big Poes are similar to the ghosts that haunt graveyards in Hyrule and Termina, but they are much larger and significantly more threatening. Biggoron - Z5, Z8 A massive Goron skilled in the craft of blacksmithing. Biggoron's Sword - Z5 The Biggoron's Sword is a huge blade that is larger and even more powerful than the legendary Master Sword. It is so massive that Link needs two hands to wield it. Bio Deku Baba - Z6 Bio Deku Babas are carnivorous plants that attach themselves to lily pads then hang underwater awaiting their prey. Bird - Z3 Once trapped within a weather vane in Kakariko Village, Link frees the bird by playing his magical flute near the frozen statue. Once freed, the bird displays its gratitude by flying Link to many locations throughout Hyrule. Bird Key - Z4 The Bird Key is used to open the main entrance to the Eagle's Tower on Koholint Island. Biri - Z5 Biri are very similar to jellyfish, but they float through the air rather than underwater. They drift around in the body of a host, searching for a meal to ingest. When challenged, they stun their victims with a shocking bolt of electricity. Bit - Z2 Bits are red gelatinous blobs that mindlessly search for food by bouncing along the ground. Blaino - Z4 Blaino lives in the Turtle Rock Dungeon on Koholint Island, where he ceaselessly practices boxing. When Link explores that dungeon in search of the Thunder Drum, Blain makes the unfortunate mistake of picking a fight with the Hero of Time. Blast Mask - Z6 The Blast Mask allows its owner to detonate the mask to cause a large explosion. Unfortunately, the person wearing the Blast Mask will be slightly harmed in the process. Blind the Thief - Z3 Blind the Thief was the guardian of Blind's Dungeon, where Link recovers a magical Crystal on his quest to unlock the entrance to Ganon's Tower. Wearing a white robe, Blind is an evil demon who flies wildly around the room while attacking Link. Blind's Dungeon - Z3 Found only in the Dark World, Blind's Dungeon is one of the seven Palaces Link explores during his quest to recover the Crystals necessary to unlock Ganon's Tower. Within its walls, Link finds the Titan's Mitt and defeats the dungeon guardian named Blind the Thief. Bloober - Z4 Resembling a cross between an octopus and a squid, Bloobers plague the deep waterways of Koholint Island. They mean no harm, but an involuntary reaction causes them to inflict a poisonous sting on anyone who touches them. Blue Bubble - Z1, Z5, Z6 Driven by evil, Blue Bubbles are mindless skulls propelled by bat wings. Blue fire is their main defense, which can be extinguished with a shield. Blue Candle - Z1 When lit, the Blue Candle has the power to light up a room or burn down a bush. After using it once, it takes a while for the magical wax to regenerate. Blue Fire - Z5 The intense heat created by the flames of Blue Fire is the only force strong enough to melt Red Ice. While exploring the Ice Cavern, Link stores Blue Fire in empty Bottles to melt any blocks of Red Ice in his way. Blue Mail - Z3 Blue Mail is a type of armor worn by warriors to reduce the damage they receive from enemy attacks. Blue Mail is not as powerful as Red Mail. Blue Potion - Z3, Z5, Z6 When ingested, Blue Potions replenish drained energy and depleted magic reserves. Blue Ring - Z1 When a warrior is struck while wearing the Blue Ring, the blow is only half as damaging as it would be normally. Blue Tunic - Z4.5 The Blue Tunic is a magical garment found in the Secret Dungeon on Koholint Island. It increases the defensive power of the person wearing it. Bolero of Fire - Z5 This magical song possesses the power to transport Link directly to Death Mountain Crater whenever he plays it correctly on the Ocarina. According to ancient scrolls, the Bolero of Fire is played by pressing Down, A, Down, A, Right, Down, Right, Down. Bomb - Z1, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6, Z7, Z8 Bombs are a major part of life in Hyrule. Hyrulians have always loved fireworks, and many amateur Bomb-makers sell their wares at shops all over Hyrule. Link uses Bombs frequently throughout his adventures to uncover hidden passageways and defeat foes. Bomb Bag - Z5, Z6 The Bomb Bag is a fireproof container that provides a safe carrying case for all types of Hyrulian explosives. Bomb Bags are available in a variety of shapes and sizes. Bomb Eater - Z4 Link encounters Bomb Eaters while exploring the Key Cavern and Face Shrine on Koholint Island. The Bomb Eaters know that they will perish after eating just three Bombs, but their hunger for explosives makes it impossible for them to resist the temptation to eat more. Bomb Flower - Z5, Z6 A unique flower cultivated by the Gorons that yields an volatile fruit used as an explosive. Bombchu - Z5, Z6, Z7, Z8 The Bombchu is truly a marvel of Hyrulian engineering. Based on the mechanical mice that Hyrulian children frequently use to frighten their parents, Bombchus can climb walls and reach areas which are usually inaccessible. When they reach their goal, they explode in a fiery blast. Bombchu (living) - Z6 In Termina, furry mammals that are known by the same name inspire Bombchu engineers. These suicidal creatures have an explosive tail, which they use to blow up their enemies -- and themselves as well. Bombchu Bowling Alley - Z5 A recreational facility in the Hyrule Castle Market where players try to throw Bombchus through small holes for prizes. Bombchu Shop - Z5 A small shop in the back alley of the Hyrule Castle Market that primarily deals in Bombchu sales. Bombers Gang - Z6 The Bombers Gang has existed in Clock Town for many years. The gang consists of young boys with little else to do than cause trouble and goof around. Whenever a member of the Bombers Gang decides to quit the group and make something of himself, a new recruit is added. Generally, the Bombers Gang has always consisted of five members. Bombers' Notebook - Z6 The Bombers Gang is a very social organization. They make so many friends and appointments that they need a special notebook to keep track of them all. Link makes ample use of his Bombers' Notebook by using it to keep track of the troubled people he promises to help. Bombite - Z4 Koholint Island is home to two different kinds of living Bombites. One counts down from three before exploding, and the other ricochets around the room before blowing up. Bombos Medallion - Z3 The Bombos Medallion is a golden seal carved with a magical swirling symbol. When used, it has the power to greatly damage any enemies in the vicinity. Bongo Bongo - Z5 Bongo Bongo haunts the halls of the Shadow Temple, as he has done for many ages. This muscle-bound creature beats ceaseless on a gargantuan drum, keeping a watchful eye on the Temple and pounding any intruders with massive, five-fingered hands. Bonooru - Z5 Bonooru began his life as a humble scarecrow, but when Link crosses his path he instantly finds a place in Hyrulian history. When Link plays the Scarecrow's Song on the Ocarina, Bonooru appears to give Link a sturdy target to use for his Hookshot. Boo Buddies - Z4 Link encounters the Boo Buddies while exploring the Bottle Grotto on Koholint Island. They are invisible at first, but when Link lights the braziers in the room they become vulnerable to attack. Book of Mudora - Z3 As generation follows generation, the Hylian language changes along with society. The stone tables inscribed by earlier generations of Hylians in their ancient tongue became unreadable for modern Hylians. Some Hylian descendants consult the Book of Mudora in the Library just south of Kakariko Village to translate the messages they find within its pages. Boomerang - Z1, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z7, Z8 The Boomerang is an ancient weapon, and Link is well known as one of the most accurate Boomerang throwers that Hyrule has ever seen. A well-thrown Boomerang can stun most enemies, or even defeat some of the weaker wild animals that inhabit Hyrule. Boss Key - Z5, Z6 Boss Keys are well-hidden keys which are often used to unlock the lairs of dungeon guardians. Bot - Z2 Bots are blue gelatinous blobs that mindlessly search for food by bouncing along the ground. Bottle - Z3, Z5, Z6 Hyrulians commonly use Bottles to carry all sorts of items. Water, milk, Magic Potions and bugs are frequently transported in glass Bottles. Link was even known to carry live fairies in Bottles. Bottle Grotto - Z4 Found on Koholint Island, the Bottle Grotto is one of the eight dungeons Link conquers during his quest to wake the Wind Fish. In the Grotto, Link finds the Power Bracelet and defeats the Genie to get the Conch Horn. BowWow - Z4 BowWow is the large pet of Madam MeowMeow, who lives in Mabe Village on Koholint Island. When BowWow is kidnapped by a gang of Moblins, Link rescues the affectionate creature. Bremen Mask - Z6 Whoever wears the Bremen Mask has the power to lead small animals around in an orderly fashion. Broom - Z4 During his adventure on Koholint Island, Link makes Mr. Write very happy by giving him the Letter. In return, Link receives the Broom. Link makes similar trades like this with many of the island's inhabitants, and in the end his kindness is rewarded with the Magnifying Glass. Bug - Z5, Z6 Bugs are a common sight in Hyrule. Link uses bugs to his advantage by carrying them in Bottles and using them to entice Gold Skulltulas from their hiding places. Bug-Catching Net - Z3 The Bug-Catching Net is used to capture wild fairies and bees. Bullet Bag - Z5 A leather pouch capable of holding 40 Deku Seeds. Butler - Z6 The Deku King refuses to perform even the smallest of tasks himself, so a royal butler is assigned to perform the daily chores necessary to keep the Deku Palace running smoothly. During Link's Terminan adventure, he receives the Masks of Scents from such a butler after rescuing the Deku Princess. Bunny Hood - Z5, Z6 The Bunny Hood is a magical mask that allows anyone wearing it to run much faster than normal. Buzz Blob - Z4, Z7, Z8 Buzz Blobs are quivering piles of flesh very similar to other blobby creatures found throughout Hyrule. Unlike their cousins, they have developed the ability to generate incredible amounts of static electricity that they use to stun their prey. Camera Shop - Z4.5 Found north of the Tabahl Wasteland on Koholint Island, the Camera Shop is the home of a hard-working cameraman who chronicles Link's struggle to wake the Wind Fish on film. Candle - Z2 While exploring Hyrule's darkest caves during his quest to wake Princess Zelda, Link uses the magical power of the Candle to light his way. Cane of Byrna - Z3 Elder Hyrulian magicians traditionally use canes to focus their magical power. The Cane of Byrna has survived the years and still posseses a great deal of supernatural strength. When called upon, the Cane of Byrna creates a temporary forcefield around the person holding it. Cane of Somaria - Z3, Z7 It is well documented that ancient magicians needed a physical symbol to channel their magical powers from the supernatural realm to the physical world. The Cane of Somaria is one of these symbols. When called upon, the Cane of Somaria has the power to create heavy stones that can be used for a variety of purposes. Canned Dog Food - Z4 During his adventure on Koholint Island, Link makes Madam MeowMeow's pet dog very happy by giving it the Ribbon. In return, Link receives the Canned Dog Food. Link makes similar trades like this with many of the island's inhabitants, and in the end his kindness is rewarded with the Magnifying Glass. Captain Keeta - Z6 Captain Keeta is a sound-sleeping skeleton who once lived in the Ikana Graveyard. Link defeats Captain Keeta in a race, and is rewarded with the Captain's Hat. Captain's Hat - Z6 Designed to resemble Captain Keeta, the Captain's Hat allows its owner to communicate and command the Stalchildren in the Ikana Graveyard. Carnival of Time - Z6 In Termina, time plays a crucial role in daily life. Even the capitol city of Termina, Clock Town, pays homage to time with a gigantic Clock Tower in the middle of town. Terminans take part in the Carnival of Time to honor time, and to remind themselves that every second should be savored. Carock - Z2 Carock is the guardian of the Maze Palace, where Link recovers one of the six Magic Crystal shards necessary to rouse Princess Zelda from her unnatural slumber. Catfish's Maw - Z4 Found on Koholint Island, the Catfish's Maw is one of the eight dungeons Link conquers during his quest to wake the Wind Fish. In the Maw, Link finds the Hookshot and defeats the Slime Eel to get the Wind Marimba. Cave of Sacred Water - Z2 Located in Western Water, the Cave of Sacred Water is the source of the water supply that produces the Water of Life. Cemetery - Z4 Positioned in the middle of Koholint Island, the Cemetery is where the island residents bury their dead. Documented proof exists which confirms the presence of ghosts in this dreary locale. Chateau Romani - Z6 Chateau Romani is the finest milk offered by the cows at Romani Ranch. Only the wealthiest Terminans can afford to drink it. Cheep-Sheep - Z4 Cheep-Sheep are unusual fish who opt to live in the murky waters which stagnate deep in the dungeons of Koholint Island. They sporadically leap from the water, often smacking a passer-by in the face. Children of the Forest See Kokiri Children ChuChu - Z6 ChuChus are gelatinous blobs that normally hide treasure within their colored bodies. They aggressively attack anything that invades their territory, but they are not very threatening to most intruders. ChuChus are common throughout Termina Field. Circus Leader's Mask - Z6 Designed to resemble the ill-mannered Gorman, the Circus Leader's Mask has the power to make anyone who sees it feel sad and depressed. Claim Check - Z5 This famous claim check is given to Link by Biggoron. The check entitles Link to pick up the Biggoron's Sword when its repair is complete. Clock Tower - Z6 The focal point of Clock Town is Clock Tower, which keeps track of time and counts down the hours to the Carnival of Time. Clock Town - Z6 Clock Town is the capitol city of Termina. Home to the Mayor, Clock Town is a vibrant city full of shops, entertainment centers and art. Clock Town is divided into five boroughs: North Clock Town, East Clock Town, South Clock Town, West Clock Town and the Laundry Pool. Clock Town Bank - Z6 The Clock Town Bank is one of Termina's most well respected businesses. It has remained in business for many years thanks to its respectable practices and policies. Many people have deposited money at the Clock Town Bank, and not one solitary Rupee has ever been lost! Clutch See "Wallmaster" Cojiro - Z5 A blue cucco that hatches from Link's Pocket Egg, Cojiro is known for having a particularly shrill cry. Compass - Z1, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6, Z7, Z8 This handy tool allows adventures to hone in on treasure and enemies while exploring dungeons, temples and palaces. Composer Brothers - Z5 The Composer Brothers are two outgoing Poes who live in the Royal Tomb in the Graveyard. These two ancient souls take credit for teaching Link how to play the Sun's Song. Conch Horn - Z4 One of the eight Instruments of the Sirens, the Conch Horn is a powerful wind instrument created from the abandoned shell of a sea creature. Link combines the power of the Conch Horn with the other Instruments of the Sirens to wake the Wind Fish on Koholint Island. Coral Triangle - Z4 One of the eight Instruments of the Sirens, the Coral Triangle was carved from a large piece of coral extracted from the depths of the Great Sea. Link combines the power of the Coral Triangle with the other Instruments of the Sirens to wake the Wind Fish on Koholint Island. Couple's Mask - Z6 The Couple's Mask has the power to remind people of the importance of their loved ones. Link used the Couple's Mask in Termina to end Mayor Dotour's excruciatingly long meeting. Crazy Tracy - Z4 Crazy Tracy operates a small potion shop on Koholint Island. Cremia - Z6 Cremia is the skeptical sister of Romani. Both girls live and work at Romani Ranch in Termina. Cross - Z2 When an adventurer walks with the Cross in his possession, he is able to see enemies which would otherwise by invisible to the naked eye. Crystal Switches - Z3, Z4, Z7, Z8 Crystal Switches are round orbs which, when struck, can make posts rise and fall. These tools are a common sight in many dungeons in Hyrule and on Koholint Island. Crystals - Z3 During Ganon's second rise to power in Hyrule, he sealed his Tower with a magical seal so powerful that it could only be unlocked by the power of seven magical Crystals. Scattered in well-guarded dungeons all over Hyrule, Link recovers all seven Crystals and uses their power to enter Ganon's Tower and eventually overthrow the King of Evil. Cucco - Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6 Similar to chickens in other parts of the world, the cucco is known for its beautiful white feathers and its independent spirit. Cuccos have been sighted all over Hyrule, and are reportedly thriving in Termina as well. Cukeman - Z4 Cukemen are directly related to Buzz Blobs. Each can deliver a numbing bolt of electricity to a foe, but Cukemen are much more talkative. Curiosity Shop - Z6 The Curiosity Shop is a Terminan establishment that sells goods from questionable sources. In other words, the place sells stolen goods. Dampé the Gravekeeper - Z5, Z6 Though slightly unsettling to look at, Dampé the Gravekeeper had a kind soul. He was always looking for a friend, and he was very kind to Link when the two met both in Hyrule and Termina. Daria - Z2 Darias are disgusting hybrids of Hyrulians and alligators. They are expert axe-throwers, and their axes are so sharp that they are able to slice through most Hylian Shields. Darunia - Z5 Darunia was the bulky leader of the Gorons. Link eventually learned that Darunia also served as Sage to the Fire Temple when the powerful Goron presented him with the Fire Medallion. Darunia, Town of - Z2 Darunia is a small town in northern Hyrule named after Darunia, Sage to the Fire Temple. Dark Link - Z2, Z1 Created by a wicked magical force (some say by Ganon himself), Dark Link is an evil shadow which is capable of duplicating Link's every move. Link first fought Dark Link in the Water Temple beneath Lake Hylia, and then later in his life he faced this mysterious foe again within the Great Palace. Dark Secrets and Mysteries of Koholint - Z4 Held in the Koholint Library, Link used this book to find his way through the enigmatic passageways of the Wind Fish Egg. Dark World - Z3, Z5 When Ganondorf ambushed the Golden Land and set his evil hands on the Triforce, his wicked influence brought a dark cloud over the land. From that moment, the Golden Land became known as the Dark World. After Ganondorf transformed into Ganon, Link was able to imprison him within the Dark World with the help of the Seven Sages' magical seals. Darknuts - Z1 Darknuts are skilled knights who fight with swords and shields. Found only in dungeons, these foes wear either red or blue armor. Darmani - Z6 Darmani was a Goron hero who set out to save the Goron's homeland. Darmani did not live long enough to reach his goal, but when Link wore the Goron Mask he was able to inhabit Darmani's body and continue the Goron's dream to save his people. Death Mountain - Z1, Z3, Z5 Rising above Hyrule and circled by a crown of smoke, Death Mountain can put the chill of fear into even the most courageous souls. Those who take the time to examine it more closely will find beauty, and a mild-mannered race of people known as Gorons. Death Mountain Crater - Z1 Deep within Death Mountain boils a lava-filled crater where the volcanic core generates intense heat. Only the thick-skinned Gorons can survive within the crater without the use of protective clothing. Deeler - Z2 Deelers are poisonous spiders who inhabited the wooded areas of Hyrule. They commonly drop down on victims from thin silk strands because they are too impatient to wait in their webs. Deelers do not posses any of the magical power found in Gold Skulltulas. Deku Baba - Z4, Z5, Z6 Though born from the same strain of Deku Seeds which produced the Great Deku Tree, Deku Babas are much less thoughtful or generous. They are menacing monsters with sharp jaws and a thirst for blood. Deku Dungeon - Z6 The Deku Dungeon is one of the four mystical dungeons which Link explored while inside Termina's Moon. Deku Flower - Z6, Z8 Deku Scrubs use Deku Flowers for multiple purposes. Scrubs can burrow into Deku Flowers to rest or to avoid danger, and they can also use the Deku Flowers to propel themselves high into the air. Deku King - Z6 The Deku King is the recognized ruler of all Deku Scrubs and exercises absolute power over Deku Scrub life. Deku Kings are born into this position, and something within the royal bloodline has caused all Deku Kings to be harsh, iron-fisted rulers. The Deku King which ruled during Link's visit to Termina was no exception. Deku Nut - Z5, Z6 Though they don't seem useful at first glance, Deku Nuts explode with a bright flash of light which can temporarily stun many of Hyrule's most threatening life forms. Deku Palace - Z6 Found in Termina's Southern Swamp, the Deku Palace is where the Deku King lives and creates the rules which govern Deku Scrub life. Only Deku Scrubs are allowed inside the Palace, so little is known about the customs and happenings within the Deku Palace walls. Deku Pipes - Z6 The Deku Pipes are a favorite musical instrument among the Deku Scrubs. Consisting of five horns, the Deku Pipes require powerful lungs and large bursts of air to produce a consistent tone. Unless played by a master, the Deku Pipes can produce ear-piercing results. Deku Princess - Z6 Deku Princess is the title assigned to the daughters of the Deku King. The most famous Deku Princess was a kind young Deku Scrub who was held captive in the Woodfall Temple by the masked jungle warrior Odolwa. Deku Scrub - Z5, Z6, Z7, Z8 Deku Scrubs are a common sight throughout Hyrule, Labrynna and Holodrum. Some are kind, but others are malicious. The less-friendly Scrubs have been known to fire Deku Seeds at innocent passers-by. In the land of Termina, Deku Scrubs have flourished and enjoy the benefits of an organized civilization. Deku Scrub Bros. - Z5 Just outside Queen Gohma's chamber inside the Great Deku Tree, this troublesome trio blocked Link's passage until he discovered that the brothers had to be defeated in a particular order. Deku Scrub Playground - Z6 Located in North Clock Town, the Deku Scrub Playground is a festive place where two Deku Scrub brothers host playful games. You have to pay to play, but Scrubs who successfully complete the obstacle course are rewarded well. Deku Seeds - Z5 Deku Seeds are small, but extremely hard. Because of this, they are widely used by Kokiri children as ammunition for their Fairy Slingshots. Deku Shield - Z5 Carved from the bark of a Deku tree, this tiny shield is perfect for questers-in-training. Its light weight makes it easy to carry, but it quickly burns when near fire. Deku Stick - Z5, Z6 A Deku Stick can be used either as a weapon or as a tool. They're a common site throughout Hyrule, found either in the wild or in shops. Desbreko - Z6 Desbrekos are huge skeletal fish with sharp teeth. They have no stomachs to fill, but they nevertheless enjoy inflicting pain on the living. Desert Colossus - Z5 The Desert Colossus is a staggeringly large statue constructed by Gerudo architects to guard the entrance to their holy Spirit Temple. Desert of Mystery - Z3, Z5 Known as the Haunted Wasteland when Link was a boy, this vast arid expanse in southeastern Hyrule has slowly become known more commonly as the Desert of Mystery. Desert Palace - Z3 During Link's quest to recover the three Pendants of Virtue, Link conquered the previously unexplored chambers of the Desert Palace. He was rewarded with the Pendant of Power after defeating the Lanmolas who severed as Palace guardians. Desert Specter - Z5 A ghost made famous by helping Link find his away across the Haunted Wasteland. Dethl - Z4 During Link's final battle in Koholint Island's Wind Fish Egg, he faced a series of dark guardians. The sixth and final monster he encountered was Dethl, a writhing beast with one eye and two tentacles. Link defeated it by striking it in its one vulnerable spot -- the eye. Dexihand - Z6 Dexihands are thin, white arms which protrude from the floor or wall. If an intruder gets too close, the ghostly fingers will latch on and toss its victim to the floor. Digdogger - Z1 Digdogger was a feared dungeon guardian defeated by Link during his quest to recover the shattered pieces of the Triforce of Wisdom. Resembling a giant sea urchin, Digdogger was able to clone itself at will. Dimitri - Z7, Z8 Dimitri was the name of a friendly Dodongo who helped Link during his quests in Labrynna and Holodrum. Dimitri was particularly helpful to Link when he had to cross large bodies of water. Din, Goddess of Power - Z5 Working with her two sisters, Din assisted in the creation of Hyrule at the beginning of time. She also contributed the Triforce of Power to the Sacred Triforce. Din, Oracle of Seasons - Z8 Named after the Goddess of Power, Din served as the Oracle of Seasons in Holodrum. It was her responsibility to keep the rhythmic cycles of nature in order, and was known to be one of the best dancers in Holodrum or anywhere else. Dinalfos - Z5, Z6 Dinalfos are distant cousins to the Lizalfos, but they are strengthened by a thick leathery skin which makes them much more powerful. Din's Fire - Z5 In addition to creating Hyrule and the Triforce of Power, Din also forged a powerful spell called Din's Fire which allows the spellcaster to surround himself with a ring of fire. The fairies kept this spell secret for ages until they taught it to Link, the Hero of Time. Dodongos - Z1, Z5, Z6, Z7, Z8 Dodongos are four-legged monsters who resemble gigantic iguanas. Normal Dodongos are almost identical to the King Dodongo, but much, much smaller. They move very slowly, but they can emit powerful bursts of fire which extend their attack arrange. Dodongo's Cavern - Z5 [dodongo_cavern.PSD Previously a Goron mining facility, the elaborate tunnels and caves of Dodongo's Cavern was overrun by fire-breathing monsters. Link exterminated the Dodongos from the cavern to make it safe for the Gorons to return. Doggy Racetrack - Z6 Open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., the Doggy Racetrack is one of the biggest tourist attractions at Romani Ranch. Wagering is encouraged. Don Gero's Mask - Z6 Whoever wears Don Gero's Mask gains the power to communicate with the many frogs living throughout Termina. Down Thrust - Z2 The Down Thrust is a special battle technique made famous by Link in which a warrior jumps into the air and strikes his enemy with a sword during the descent. Dragonfly - Z6 Terminan Dragonflies are huge, and each is equipped with an electrified stinger on the tip of its tail. Dream Shrine - Z4 Found in Mabe Village on Koholint Island, the Dream Shrine offers a bed for weary travelers. Anyone who lies down to sleep will experience incredibly vivid dreams which offer revealing insights into the dreamer's subconscious. Dungeon Map - Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6, Z7, Z8 Early in Hyrulian and Terminan history -- even before Link was born -- brave adventures explored many of the palaces and temples found throughout Hyrule. These explorers made meticulous maps of their findings, and left them hidden within the walls of some dungeons to aid future explorers. Eagle's Tower - Z4 Found on Koholint Island, the Eagle's Tower is one of the eight dungeons Link conquered during his quest to wake the Wind Fish. In the Tower, Link found the Mirror Shield and defeated the Evil Eagle to get the Organ of Evening Calm. Eastern Canyon - Z6 "Eastern Canyon" is the name given to the barren desert-like canyon located just northeast of Clock Town in Termina. Eastern Palace - Z3 During Link's quest to recover the three Pendants of Virtue, Link explored the well-guarded halls of the Eastern Palace. He was rewarded with the Pendant of Courage after defeating the six Armos Knights who severed as Palace guardians. Elegy of Emptiness - Z6 In the mystical world of Termina, Link used this unusual melody to create clones at will. According to ancient scrolls, the Elegy of Emptiness was played by pressing Right, Left, Right, Down, Right, Up, Left. Epona - Z5, Z6 Epona was a fine horse bred by the kind souls at Lon Lon Ranch. Epona served as Link's trusty steed for many years, always rushing to his side whenever Link played Epona's song on his Ocarina. Epona was very fond of carrots, and loyal to the end. Epona's Song - Z5, Z6 Whenever Link's loyal horse strayed too far way, he would pull out the Ocarina of Time and play the song which was taught to him by Malon at the Lon Lon Ranch. According to ancient scrolls, Epona's Song was played by pressing Up, Left, Right, Up, Left, Right. Essences of Nature - Z8 During his quest to resuscitate Holodrum, Link gave strength to the Maku Tree by collecting eight Essences of Time. The magical power of the Essences fed energy directly to the spiritual tree. Essences of Time - Z7 During his quest to save Labrynna, Link collected eight Essences of Time. The Essences of Time contain magical powers which give strength to the Maku Tree. Ether Medallion - Z3 The Ether Medallion is a golden seal carved with a lightning bolt symbol in its center. When used, it has the power to generate a wind attack which can damage enemies and open certain locked doors. Evan - Z6 Evan was a famous keyboardist in the all-Zora rock band called The Indigo-Go's. Evil Eagle - Z4 Evil Eagle was the guardian of Eagle's Tower, where Link recovered the Organ of Evening Calm on his quest to wake the Wind Fish. Link used the power of the Mirror Shield to withstand Evil Eagle's feather attack, which was the bird's only threatening assault. Eye Drops - Z5 Made from Eyeball Frogs, Hyrulian eye drops have the power to instantly soothe red, burning eyes. Eyeball Frog - Z5 The Eyeball Frog is a tame creature which is used as a primary ingredient in Hyrulian eye drops. Eyegore - Z6 Eyegores are monstrous black beasts with nothing more than a pulsating eyeball for a head. Needless to say, they are not at all friendly. Facade - Z4, Z7 Facade was the guardian of the Face Shrine, where Link recovered the Coral Triangle on his quest to wake the Wind Fish. Facade was nothing more than a disembodied face, but it used its magical power to hurl floor tiles at Link with deadly accuracy. Earlier in its dungeon guarding career, Facade helped to protect Snake's Remains in Holodrum. Face Key - Z4 The Face Key is used to open the main entrance to the Face Shrine on Koholint Island. Face Shrine - Z4 Found on Koholint Island, the Face Shrine is one of the eight dungeons Link conquered during his quest to wake the Wind Fish. In the Shrine, Link found the Power Bracelet #2 and defeated Facade to get the Coral Triangle. Fairies - Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6, Z7, Z8 Fairies have always been a common sight throughout Hyrule. Though not always visible, they inhabit every last corner of the Hyrulian landscape. Fairies are known for their kindness, and they are particularly respected for the much-needed help they were able to give to Link during his times of need. Fairy Bow - Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4, Z5 The Fairy Bow is an excellent long-distance weapon. When Link discovered his first Fairy Bow, he rarely found a use for his Slingshot again. The Fairy Bow was one of Link's favorite weapons, and he wielded it masterfully in some of his most famous confrontations. Fairy Fountains - Z1, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6, Z7, Z8 Fairy Fountains are safe havens for both humans and fairies alike. Many fairies live in the wild, but some prefer to live together at Fairy Fountains. The elegantly lavish nature of Fairy Fountains make them a favorite residency of Great Fairies. Fairy Ocarina - Z3, Z4, Z5 The Fairy Ocarina is a flute-like musical instrument with seven finger holes. This particular type of ocarina is very popular among the children in Kokiri Forest. In fact, Link's very first musical instrument was a Fairy Ocarina. Fairy Queen - See Great Fairy Fairy Slingshot - Z5 The Fairy Slingshot is a weapon commonly used by the Kokiri children. Using Deku Seeds as ammunition, a skilled sharpshooter can take out a Skulltula from 60 paces away. Fairy Spell - Z2 During Link's quest to recover the six shards of the Magic Crystal, Link frequently used the power of magical Spells. Link used the Fairy Spell to turn into a fairy, which allowed him to enter small openings which he would otherwise be too big to fit through. Farore, Goddess of Courage - Z5 Working with her two sisters, Farore assisted in the creation of Hyrule at the beginning of time. She also contributed the Triforce of Courage to the Sacred Triforce. Farore's Wind - Z5 In addition to creating Hyrule and the Triforce of Power, Farore also forged a powerful spell called Farore's Wind which allows the spellcaster to create a warp point between two far-away locations. The fairies kept this spell secret for ages until they taught it to Link, the Hero of Time. Fierce Deity's Mask - Z6 The Fierce Deity's Mask allows its owner to inhabit the body of a dark and mighty warrior. Fighter's Shield - Z3 When Link returned from his adventure in Termina, he lived briefly with his uncle. Link received the Fighter's Shield from his kind relative, and it served him well through countless scuffles with Agahnim's minions. Fighter's Sword - Z3 When Link returned from his adventure in Termina, he lived briefly with his uncle. Link received the Fighter's Sword from his kind relative, and it served him well enough until the Hero of Time was able to find a more powerful blade. Fire Arrows - Z5, Z6 A clever mix of science and magic was used to create the Fire Arrow, which explodes with a burst of flames on contact. Fire Cephalopod - Z4 Link encountered the Fire Cephalopod while exploring the Turtle Rock Dungeon on Koholint Island. This creature is believed to belong to the Octorok family due to its bulbous head, multiple legs, and backside vulnerability. Fire Keese - Z5, Z7, Z8 Fire Keese attack similarly to normal Keese, but their flame-covered wings make them a more threatening foe. The Fire Keese can quickly turn a Deku Shield into a pile of ash. Fire Medallion - Z5 This token served as a physical symbol of the power of Darunia, Sage of the Fire Temple. Link used the combined power of seven Spiritual Medallions such as this to seal Ganon in the Dark World. Fire Rod - Z1, Z3, Z4 The magical Fire Rod is able to project ultra-hot bursts of flame across long distances. Fire Spell - Z2 During Link's quest to recover the six shards of the Magic Crystal, Link frequently used the power of magical Spells. Link used the Fire Spell to attack particularly tough enemies. Fire Temple - Z5 Deep within the stone walls of Death Mountain, the Fire Temple has stood for centuries as a symbol of strength and strong will. Within its boiling caverns, Link discovered the Megaton Hammer and defeated the monstrous dragon Volvagia. Fishing Hook - Z4 During his adventure on Koholint Island, Link made Grandma Ulriria very happy by giving her the Broom. In return, Link received the Fishing Hook. Link made similar trades like this with many of the island's inhabitants, and in the end his kindness was rewarded with the Magnifying Glass. Flare Dancers - Z5 With arms and legs of fire, Flare Dancers twist and turn through the dark halls of the Fire Temple even to this very day. When Link encountered Flare Dancers during his trip through the Fire Temple, he used Bombs to extinguish their flames and then struck them with the Master Sword. Flippers - Z4 While wearing the Flippers, anyone can gain the ability to swim through the deepest of water. The regular Flippers are similar to the Zora's Flippers, but they are made out of a synthetic skin. Flute - Z2, Z3 The Flute is a magical musical instrument similar to the Ocarina of Time. When played correctly, it has the power to open locked doors, damage enemies and perform other special tasks. Floormaster - Z6 Floormasters are giant hands which scurry along the ground with great speed. Unlike their Wallmaster relatives, Floormasters live their entire lives on the ground. Forest Medallion - Z5 This token served as a physical symbol of the power of Saria, Sage to the Forest Temple. Link used the combined power of seven Spiritual Medallions such as this to seal Ganon in the Dark World. Forest Temple - Z5 Found in the Sacred Forest Meadow, the Forest Temple housed fearsome foes and great treasure. Link stormed the Temple and valiantly defeated Phantom Ganon deep within its walls. Fortune-Teller's House - Z3 Hyrule is a land of magic, and because of this most Hyrulians have a strong belief in the mystical realm. Those with psychic powers set up their own fortune-telling businesses throughout Hyrule. There is even a fortune-telling establishment operating in the Dark World. Four Giants - Z6 The Four Giants are guardian spirits who protect the lands to the south, north, west and east in Termina. Freezards - Z5, Z6 Freezards inhabit the frigid environments of Hyrule and Termina, blowing a freezing blast of cold air at anyone who crosses their path. Frog Song of Soul - Z4 While adventuring on the island of Koholint, Link learned to play the Frog Song of Soul from Mamu the frog. When played, its magical power was strong enough to resurrect the dead. Full Moon Cello - Z4 One of the eight Instruments of the Sirens, the Full Moon Cello actually features two crescent moons carved into its body. Link combined the power of the Full Moon Cello with the other Instruments of the Sirens to wake the Wind Fish on Koholint Island. Ganon - Z1, Z3, Z5, Z7, Z8 Also known as the King of Evil, Ganon is the epitome of anger, hate and envy. Ganon's life began as a human named Ganondorf, but his heart was so vile that eventually he could no longer hide the ugliness which he held inside. Ganon was banished to the Dark World by Link and the Seven Sages, but his hunger for power and domination proved to be more powerful than the seal on his solitary cell. Seeking to defile the power of the Triforce, Ganon was able to break free on numerous occasions. Luckily, Link and the Seven Sages were able to repel his advances each time. Still, the threat of Ganon's return always lingers just below the surface of Hyrule's peaceful landscape. Ganon's Castle - Z5 When Ganon entered the Golden Land and tapped into the power of the Triforce, he was able to construct an intimidating home for himself where Hyrule Castle once stood. This towering structure contained six barriers of power that protected Ganon from intruders, but they were unable to prevent the Hero of Time from breaking through. Ganon's Shadow - Z4 During Link's final battle in Koholint Island's Wind Fish Egg, he faced a series of dark guardians which were shadows of his former foes. The fourth of these creatures to appear was Ganon's Shadow, which Link defeated by combining the power of the Pegasus Boots with his sword. Ganon's Tower - Z3 In the Dark World, Ganon constructed a massive Tower which could only be opened by tapping into the power of seven powerful Crystals. When Link collected these Crystals and entered the Tower, he was disappointed to have to fight Agahnim instead of the King of Evil himself. Ganondorf - Z5 Ganondorf, the scourge of Hyrule and King of the Gerudo Thieves, was the dark-hearted human who eventually transformed into Ganon, King of Evil. Ganondorf cared only for himself, which was evident to anyone who dared to peer into his sunken eyes. Ganondorf's Tower - Z5 Housed within Ganon's Castle and decorated with stained glass walls, Ganondorf's Tower is where Link and the King of Evil held their first confrontation. Gargoyle's Domain - See "Blind's Dungeon" Garo Ninjas - Z6, Garo Ninjas are ghostly figures who inhabit Termina's Ikana Canyon. If they see someone wearing the Garo's Mask, they will freely offer valuable advice. Garo Master - Z6 Wearing a purple tunic and wielding two curved daggers, the Garo Master was once a feared leader of the Garo Ninjas. Link was able to defeat this foe twice during his Terminan adventure: once in the Stone Temple and once in the Link Dungeon. Garo's Mask - Z6 The Garo's Mask gives its owner a more favorable relationship with the undead. Monsters like the ReDead will ignore anyone wearing this mask, and Garos Ninjas will offer advice when they see it. Gekko - Z6 Gekkos are mean-spirited reptiles who are known to frequent the dark Temples found throughout Termina. Gel - Z4, Z7, Z8 Native to Koholint Island, Gels are the teeming offspring released by injured Zols. Geldarm - Z2 Found in the Desert, Geldarms are tall swaying enemies who keep their bodies hydrated by drinking the blood of other life forms. General Onox - Z8 Driven mad by his own dark soul, General Onox nearly destroyed the land known as Holodrum. He kidnapped Din, the Oracle of Seasons, and used her power to cast the forces of nature into confusion. In the end, General Onox was defeated by Link in a legendarily brutal battle. Genie - Z4 The Genie was the guardian of the Bottle Grotto, where Link recovered the Conch Horn on his quest to wake the Wind Fish. The Genie initially attacked from the safety of its bottle, until Link figured out how to shatter the vase. Gerudo - Z5, Z6 The Gerudo warriors are primarily made up of beautiful women highly trained in the art of war. The only man ever allowed into their ranks was Ganondorf, who permanently soured the Gerudo's opinion of men. In Hyrule, the Gerudo make their home in the desert. In Termina, the reclusive race lives near the water. Gerudo Fortress - Z5 Carved into the mountain ridge that divides Hyrule Field and the sandy wasteland of the desert, the Gerudo Fortress is a maze of mesa dwellings linked together as an elaborate stronghold. The bastion is guarded by an elite squadron of Gerudo amazons who can strike a man down readily with their spears and sabers. Gerudo Mask - Z5 Carved to resemble the face of a Gerudo, this comical mask allows its owner to masquerade as a female thief. Gerudo's Membership Card - Z5 A certificate which allows the holder unrestricted access to any Gerudo stronghold. Gerudo Training Ground - Z5 An intense obstacle course which is used to perfect the battle skills of Gerudo warriors. Visitors are allowed to test their skill on this course, but they must pay a small fee to enter. Ghini - See "Poe." Ghoma - Z1, Z3, Z4, Z5 Ghomas are crab-like creatures which confuse their prey by bouncing around in maddening patterns. They peer at their victims through a single eye, which is highly susceptible to attack. Ghoma Larvae - Z5 Ghoma Larvae are the under-developed offspring of the late Queen Ghoma. The Queen laid her eggs in well-traveled areas where potential food sources would wander past. Sensing the vibrations of their prey's footsteps, the Gohma Larvae would quickly hatch out of their eggs and coil for attack. Ghost - See "Poe" Giant Bee - Z6 Giant Bees are Terminan insects which are generally harmless. If their hive is disturbed or if they feel threatened, though, they will attack with a painful sting. Giant Buzz Blob - Z4 Link encountered the Giant Buzz Blob while exploring the Secret Dungeon on Koholint Island. This pile of flesh was similar to other blobby creatures found throughout Hyrule, but it had developed the ability to generate incredible amounts of static electricity which it used to stun its prey. Giant Gel - See "Shadow Bot" Giant Ghini - Z4 Giant Ghinis are huge one-eyed ghosts who haunt the Cemetery on Koholint Island. Giant Goponga Flowers - Z4 Native to the Goponga Swamp on Koholint Island, Giant Goponga Flowers are hearty plants which dig their roots deep into the swampy soil. When fully grown, these plants can shoot poisonous spores in all directions. Giant Wallet - Z5, Z6 Even larger than the Adult Wallet, the Giant Wallet is big enough to hold up to 500 Rupees. Giant's Knife - Z5 The Giant's Knife is a large sword which at first appears powerful, but in fact is quite brittle. Giant's Mask - Z6 If its owner has enough magic power, the Giant's Mask will dramatically increase the size of the person wearing it. Link used the Giant's Mask to help him defeat Twinmold. Gibdo - Z1, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6, Z7, Z8 Gibdos are lost souls from forgotten ages who hate the living. Resembling mummies, these undead creatures will stalk any living creature for the purposes of dining on nourishing blood. Gibdo's Mask - Z6 This useful mask allows its owner to masquerade as a mummified Gibdo. While wearing the Gibdo Mask, a person will not be attacked by unholy threats like the ReDead. Gilded Sword - Z6 The Gilded Sword is forged by the Mountain Smithy in Termina's Northern Mountain. The creation of this blade requires one Razor Sword, and one bottle of Gold Dust. Production of the Gilded Sword takes the Mountain Smithy about a day to complete. Gleeock - Z1 Gleeock was a powerful two-headed dragon defeated by Link during his quest to recover the shattered pieces of the Triforce of Wisdom. Gohma - Z1, Z5 Gohmas were a fierce breed of dungeon guardians encountered by Link during two seperate quests. Resembling giant crabs, Ghomas had terrified Hyrulians for years before Link put an end to their bloodline. Goht - Z6 Goht was the name of the masked mechanical monster who once guarded the legendary Snowhead Temple. Gold Dust - Z6 Pure Gold Dust is used by the Mountain Smithy in Termina's Northern Mountain to forge the Gilded Sword. Golden Leaves - Z4 The royal family of Koholint Island has passed down five Golden Leaves through countless generations to remind each new king of past struggles. The monarchy on Koholint eventually collapsed, but the Golden Leaves are still a treasured heirloom in the royal bloodline. Gold Scale - Z5 The power of the Gold Scale allows its owner to dive just as deeply as any Zora. Gold Skulltula - Z5, Z6 Gold Skulltulas are some of the nastiest, most vile creatures Link ever encountered. They were able to multiply at a rapid rate, causing them to appear in great numbers throughout Hyrule and Termina. Through some dark magic, they were tied to a horrifying curse which imprisoned human beings in the mutated bodies of spiders. Golden Gauntlets - Z5 The Golden Gauntlets can give a man the strength to move mountains. Link used the Golden Gauntlets during his first quest to thwart Ganon's evil plan to take over Hyrule. Golden Land - Z5 Also known as the Sacred Realm, the Golden Land is where the three Holy Goddesses chose to keep the Triforce. The Triforce remained safely stored in the Golden Land until Ganondorf forced his way in and tainted its magical power. The Golden Land was forever ruined, and became known as the Dark World. Golden Sword - Z3 The Golden Sword is a magical blade created by a benevolent fairy in the Mysterious Pond. When a normal sword is thrown into the water, the fairy uses her ancient magic to create this powerful weapon with a gold-toned blade. Gomess - Z6 Gomess was a once a powerful vampire who spent his days in the dark halls of the Stone Tower Temple. Surrounded by hundreds of blood-thirsty bats, Gomess was a very intimidating villain before Link ended his unnatural existence. Gooma - Z2 Gooma was the guardian of the Palace on the Sea, where Link recovered one of the six Magic Crystal shards necessary to rouse Princess Zelda from her unnatural slumber. Goomba - Z4 Goombas are highly evolved fungus-based animals which scamper through musky dungeons in search of food. These creatures have been spotted only on Koholint Island. Goponga Flower - Z4 Native to the Goponga Swamp on Koholint Island, Goponga Flowers are hearty plants which dig their roots deep into the swampy soil. They are not very threatening, but they make travel through some areas of the swamp nearly impossible. When full grown, they become known as Giant Goponga Flowers. Goponga Swamp - Z4 The Goponga Swamp is a dangerous area of Koholint Island inhabited by flesh-eating fish and aggressive carnivorous plants. Gorgon - Z8 This name was once a nickname of General Onox. Goriya - Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4 Goriya are devilish creatures who use boomerangs as their primary weapons. They are about the same size as average Hylians, and they emit a foul stench which precedes them wherever they go. More advanced Goriyas shoot fireballs, and some have perfected the art of mimicry to the point that they are nearly impossible to hit. Gorman - Z6 Gorman was the name of tall, bald man who once operated a circus which traveled throughout Termina. Gorman Brothers - Z6 The Gorman Brothers are two shady characters who once owned and operated the now-infamous Gorman Track just off Milk Road in Termina. They tried to swindle Link during his Terminan adventure, but were totally unsuccessful. Goron Bracelet - Z6 Once owned by the Goron ruler Darunia, the Goron Bracelet gives great strength to anyone who wears it. Darunia presented Link with the Goron Bracelet as a reward for easing his troubled mind. Goron City - Z5 Located near the top of Death Mountain, Goron City is home to thousands of hard-working Gorons. The Goron leader, Darunia, lives and works within the city walls. Goron Dungeon - Z6 The Goron Dungeon is one of the four mystical dungeons which Link explored while inside Termina's Moon. Goron Elder - Z6 The term "elder" is not used lightly in Goron culture. Gorons live to be much older than Hylians, so it takes quite a while for a Goron to earn this respected title. Goron Graveyard - Z6 Like most Terminans, the Gorons believed in burying their dead. The Goron Graveyard is reserved for the most honored Goron heroes, including the legendarily brave Goron named Darmani. Goron Lullaby - Z6 During his Terminan quest, Link used this soothing melody to put the DaiGoron to sleep. According to ancient scrolls, the Lullaby Intro was played by pressing A, Right, Left, A, Right, Left. The complete Goron Lullaby was played by pressing A, Right, Left, A, Right, Left, Right, A. Goron Mask - Z5, Z6 In Hyrule, the Goron Mask is considered little more than a plaything. In Termina, the Goron Mask is a magical item which allows its owner to inhabit the body of Darmani, a hero of the Goron people. Goron Racetrack - Z6 Gorons are hard workers, but when they have time to relax they enjoy racing or watching each other race at their very own Goron Racetrack. The Gorons roll tightly into speedy wheel-like balls, then roll as fast as they can to the finish line. Goron Shop - Z5 A small shop in Goron City which primarily sells Bombs. Goron Shrine - Z6 The Goron Shrine is a place of worship located in the center of Goron Village. Goron Tunic - Z5 Fashioned from a sporty blend of Dodongo hide and Bomb Flower fibers, the Goron Tunic allowed Link to survive the intense heat generated within Death Mountain Crater. Goron Village - Z6 In Termina, most Gorons live in the Northern Mountain, east of the Mountain Village. When Link first visited the Goron Village, an unnaturally long winter had caused many of its inhabitants to hibernate deep within the rocks. Luckily, Link was able to lift the icy curse and warm the hearts of the Goron villagers. Gorons - Z5, Z6, Z7, Z8 Generally, the Gorons are a peaceful race who enjoy relaxation. They spend their time mining rocks, which serve as their primary source of food. Gorons can travel very quickly by rolling themselves into balls, but they prefer to sit around a fire and dance and sing. Gorons have cultivated structured civilizations in Hyrule as well as Termina. Goron's Ruby - Z5 Goron's Ruby is a Spiritual Stone which, when combined with two others, was once able to open the door to the Golden Land in the Temple of Time. Link recovered the Goron's Ruby after defeating King Dodongo in Dodongo's Cavern. Goron's Sword - Z5 Link received a broken Goron's Sword from a carpenter near Gerudo Valley, which he took to Biggoron for repair. Once repaired, the Goron's Sword became known as the Biggoron's Sword. Gossip Shop - Z3 Located in the bottom-right corner of Kakariko Village, this mysterious location is where Link found a treasure chest to give to the man in the desert. Gossip Stones - See Sheikah Stones Guay - Z5, Z6 Guay are most frequently found in the desert, but these small purple birds have been known to fly long distances in search of food and water. Though small, they are lightning-fast and able to swoop down on their victims before they are detected. Grandma Ulriria - Z4 Grandma Ulriria was a kind old woman who lived in Mabe Village at the time Link paid his visit to Koholint Island. She played an important role in helping Link to find the Magnifying Glass. Grandpa Ulriria - Z4 Grandpa Ulriria was an unusual old man who was the elder of Mabe Village when Link passed through. Link frequently asked Grandpa Ulriria for advice over the telephone. Graveyard - Z1, Z3, Z5, Z6 Hyrulians hold a great respect for the dead, and the traditional means of interment is burial. Graveyards played an important role in many of Link's quests, even when he traveled to the world of Termina. Great Bay Coast - Z6 The Great Bay Coast is located where Termina Field meets the Western Ocean. The land there is truly beautiful. Both Zoras and Pirates make their homes in the Great Bay Coast. Great Bay Temple - Z6 The Great Bay Temple is a huge maze of one-way currents and frustrating dead ends. Link once struggled through this watery labyrinth to eliminate the gargantuan masked fish Gyorg. Great Deku Tree - Z5 The magnificent Deku Tree, genesis of the Kokiri Forest, possessed one of the strongest spirits in all of Hyrule. When the Great Deku Tree fell ill, Link ventured inside the tree and removed the evil creatures which plagued it. Nevertheless, the spirit of the Great Deku Tree passed on shortly thereafter. Thankfully, the Deku Tree was able to produce an offspring just moments before its passing. Great Fairies - Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6, Z7, Z8 Great Fairies are much older than normal fairies, and because of this they hold much greater magical power. Great Fairies are not seen very often, but when they do come into contact with Hylians they are exceedingly kind and mischievously playful. Great Fairy Mask - Z6 The Great Fairy Mask detects the presence of Stray Fairies in dungeons and entices them to fly toward the person wearing the mask. Great Fairy's Sword - Z6 The Great Fairy's Sword is one of the longest and sharpest blades Link has ever used in battle. In Termina, the Great Fairies rewarded Link with this magical weapon when he was able to return the many Stray Fairies scattered throughout the land. Great Palace - Z2 Located in central Hyrule, the Great Palace was the final palace visited by Link during his quest to recover the shards of the Magic Crystal and rouse Princess Zelda from her unnatural slumber. Within the Palace walls, Link defeated Thunderbird and Dark Link. Green Bubble - Z5 Green Bubbles are almost identical to Blue Bubbles, but their floating skulls are surrounded by a dangerous green flames. They usually appear in groups of two, and are not as mobile as their blue and red cousins. Green Potion - Z3, Z5, Z6 When ingested, Green Potions can replenish drained magical energy. Green Shirt - See "Kokiri Tunic." Grim Creeper - Z4 Link encountered the Grim Creeper while exploring the Eagle's Tower on Koholint Island. The Grim Creeper controlled six Battle Bats which he used to carry out his attacks. When his Bats were destroyed, the Grim Creeper gave up and disappeared somewhere within the Tower. Grog - Z6 Grog is the name of the man who tended to the Romani Ranch's cucco shack when Link visited Termina. Guru-Guru - Z6, Z7, Z8 Guru-Guru is the name of a skilled organ-grinder who performed in a performance troupe in Termina. Gyorg - Z6 Gyorg is the name of a gargantuan masked fish which once fiercely guarded the Great Bay Temple in Termina's Great Bay Coast. Hammer - See Megaton Hammer Happy Mask Salesman - Z5, Z6 Owner and proprietor of the Happy Mask Shop, the Happy Mask Salesman would do whatever it took to find new masks and sell them for profit. Unfortunately, he found himself wrapped up in the mysterious power surrounding Majora's Mask and the seeds of insanity were planted in his mind. Happy Mask Shop - Z5 A small store which sells masks in the Hyrule Castle Market. Hardhat Beetles - Z4 Native to Koholint Island, Hardhat Beetles are small insects with huge eyes and hard shells. The only way to defeat a Hardhat Beetle is to push it over a ledge or off a platform. Harp of Ages - Z7 The Harp of Ages is a time travel device that once belonged to Din, the Oracle of Ages. Link borrowed this harp from her to aid him in his quest to track down Veran and save Labrynna. Three magical tunes could be played on the Harp of Ages: the Tune of Echoes, the Tune of Currents and the Tune of Ages. Haunted Grove - Z3 Between where Link's uncle's house used to stand and Kakariko Village, an unusual stretch of woods exists which many Hyrulians firmly believe is haunted. Haunted Wasteland - Z5 The Haunted Wasteland is a vast desert which few Hyrulian have ever attempted to enter. The gritty storms that whip across the dunes severely hinder visibility, leaving anyone unfortunate enough to lose their way little chance to see the morning sun over Hyrule again. Heart - Z1, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6, Z7, Z8 Found nestled in bushes or contained within the remains of fallen enemies, Hearts are used to refill Heart Containers and replenish energy. Heart Container - Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6, Z7, Z8 Heart Containers hold the energy which allow Hylians to function. Heart Containers are made up of four Heart Pieces, each of which can safely hold a small amount of energy. Heart Fragment - See "Piece of Heart" Heart Piece - See "Piece of Heart" Helmasaur King - Z3 Helmasaur King was the guardian of the Palace of Darkness, where Link recovered a magical Crystal on his quest to unlock the entrance to Ganon's Tower. The Helmasaur King was a large four-legged beast with a spiked tail who hid behind a strong iron helmet. Helmethead - Z2 Helmethead was the guardian of Midoro Palace, where Link recovered one of the six Magic Crystal shards necessary to rouse Princess Zelda from her unnatural slumber. Hero of Time - Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6, Z7, Z8 The popular name Hylians use when referring to Link. Hero's Bow - Z6 Even more powerful than the Fairy Bow, the Hero's Bow features a slick design and ingenious engineering. The Hero's Bow is made from a special metal which is both stronger and lighter than the wood used to create the Fairy's Bow. Hibiscus - Z4 During his adventure on Koholint Island, Link made Papahl very happy by giving him the Pineapple. In return, Link received the Hibiscus. Link made similar trades like this with many of the island's inhabitants, and in the end his kindness was rewarded with the Magnifying Glass. Hinox - Z4 Link encountered multiple Hinox while exploring the many dungeons found on Koholint Island. These muscle-bound beasts glared at Link through a single intimidating eye, but they turned out to be vulnerable to attack from any of Link's major weapons. Hiploop - Z6 Hiploops are giant flies who commonly sport steel face masks to protect themselves from their struggling prey. Hiploops are found throughout Termina, but primarily they are concentrated in the Southern Swamp. Holodrum - Z8 Holodrum lies many miles from Hyrule, but it is important to scholars because of the important role it played in Link's young life. The land was once troubled by an evil general named Onox, who captured the Oracle of Seasons and threw the natural weather cycles into total chaos. Luckily, Link was able to defeat General Onox and restore order to the land. Honey & Darling's Shop - Z6 Located in East Clock Town, Honey & Darling's Shop is a fun place for fans of Bombchu Bowling to visit. Honeycomb - Z4 During his adventure on Koholint Island, Link made Tarin very happy by giving him the Wooden Stick. In return, Link received the Honeycomb. Link made similar trades like this with many of the island's inhabitants, and in the end his kindness was rewarded with the Magnifying Glass. Hookshot - Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6 The Hookshot represents the most advanced technology Hyrule has to offer. Consisting of a handle, a chain and a razor-sharp hook, this multi-purpose tool can be used to cross dangerous gaps or dealdevastating blows to agitated enemies. Link made ample use of this tool throughout his quests. Hot Head - Z4 Hot Head was the guardian of the Turtle Rock Dungeon, where Link recovered the Thunder Drum on his quest to wake the Wind Fish. Hot Head made his home in a bubbling pool of lava, which could heal his wounds when Hot Head disappeared below the surface. House of Skulltula - Z5 A dark house in Kakariko Village where humans cursed by Gold Skulltulas were forced to reside. Horsehead - Z2 Horsehead was the guardian of Parapa Palace, where Link recovered one of the six Magic Crystal shards necessary to rouse Princess Zelda from her unnatural slumber. Hover Boots - Z5 Surprisingly comfortable, Hover Boots are equipped with mechanized wings which allow whoever wears them to briefly walk on air. Hylians - Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6, Z7, Z8 Hylians are an elf-like race of people who first established an ordered civilization in Hyrule. Famous Hylians include Princess Zelda and Link, the Hero of Time. The Hylians' long, sculpted ears enable them to hear special messages. As the chosen people, they are also given unique psychic and magical abilities. Traditional Hylian dress is simple and functional. Men belt leather jerkins at the waist, and women slip into straight, ankle-length gowns. Although simple of design, Hylian dresses and tunics are often embellished with brightly colored, hand-stitched borders that make them look almost festive. When working outside, Hylian men often wear broad-brimmed hats that protect them from sun and rain. Also, the men always wear sturdy, cuffed leather boots that reach to the knees. For the women, artisans craft delicate golden earrings, bracelets and necklaces. Images of Hylian legends are often included in the design. Hylian Shield - Z1, Z4, Z5 Emblazoned with a symbol of the Holy Triforce, the Hylian Shield is a common sight throughout Hyrule. Many young adventurers carry these shields because the Royal Guard sells them used every few years when they receive a new shipment from the Gorons in northeastern Hyrule. It is interesting to note that Gorons, not Hylians, are responsible for creating the Hylian Shield. Hyrule - Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6, Z7, Z8 Hyrule is a vast land rich in beauty and wrought with danger. Its varied landscape and diverse environment supports a wide variety of plant and animal life, and many distinct cultures have developed among the varied races of humans and beasts who inhabit the land. From frozen glaciers to scorching deserts, Hyrule is as sundry as it is immense. Crossing from one region to the next can be a shocking experience for inexperienced travelers, due to Hyrule's rugged landscape and eccentric mix of primitive and advanced cultures. Though dangerous at times, Hyrule is more accurately described as beautiful. The realm of Hyrule was home to Link, legendary Hero of Time. Hyrule Castle - Z3, Z5 Hyrule Castle is a well-guarded stronghold which is home to the Royal Family, including Princess Zelda. Strong stone walls are surrounded by a deep moat, and the grounds are patrolled regularly by loyal soldiers in the Hyrulian Army. Hyrule Field - Z5 The vast expanse of land in central Hyrule is known as Hyrule Field. It is home to a variety of creatures, some threatening and some not. At night, the territory is known to be particularly dangerous. Hyrulian Soldiers - Z5 A fervent sense of duty runs through the veins of every Hyrulian Soldier, as it is their calling to protect the royal palace and maintain order. Hyrulian Soldiers make up the bulk of the Royal Guard. Ice Arrows - Z5, Z6 When an Ice Arrow is fired from any type of Bow, it will instantly freeze almost any enemy in a numbing block of ice. Ice Cavern - Z5 After Ganondorf broke into the Golden Land and disfigured the face of Hyrule, the Zora's Fountain was covered in ice. The Zoras used to love to swim through the warm water in a nearby cavern, but Ganondorf's wicked influence turned their favorite swimming pool into a cavern of ice. Ice Palace - Z3 Found only in the Dark World, the Ice Palace is one of the seven Palaces Link explored during his quest to recover the Crystals necessary to unlock Ganon's Tower. Within its walls, Link found the Blue Mail and defeated the Palace guardian named Kholdstare. Ice Rod - Z3 The magical Ice Rod is able to project sub-zero balls of ice across long distances. Igos Du Ikana - Z6 Igos Du Ikana is a skeleton king who once ruled the undead from his throne in the Ancient Castle of Ikana. Link defeated this unholy ruler during his quest to save Termina. Ikana Graveyard - Z6 The Ikana Graveyard is a reportedly haunted burial ground found in Termina's Eastern Canyon. Ikana Canyon - Z6 Hardly a soul resides in Termina's Ikana Canyon. More accurately, hardly a living soul resides in Ikana Canyon. Undead and regretful spirits with unfinished business haunt this parched region in northeastern Termina. Impa - Z1, Z5, Z8 Impa was the sworn protector of Princess Zelda and Sage to the Shadow Temple. Despite her hard exterior, her heart was bigger than the realm of Hyrule itself. Like Zelda, her impact on those around her was profound. Future female servants assigned to serve and protect Princess Zelda were named Impa to honor the legacy and loyal service which Impa provided. Indigo-Go's - Z6 The Indigo-Go's were once a famous Zora rock band. Even today, many Zoras listen to the music of this ground-breaking group. Ingo - Z5, Z8 Ingo was one of the very first employees of Lon Lon Ranch. He was quite disgruntled, mainly due to the fact that his boss rarely offered to help. Eventually, Ingo attempted to take over the ranch and operate it himself. Luckily, he was not successful in the end. Notably, Ingo was quite fond of collecting fine vases. Inner Palace Garden - Z6 Located within the wooden walls of the Deku Palace, the Inner Palace Garden is off-limits to anyone but Deku Scrubs. The Garden is well-guarded, because the Deku King frequently strolls through its twisting paths to commune with nature. Instruments of the Sirens - Z4 Eight magical instruments are included in the legendary list of Instruments of the Sirens. Link used these musical tools to wake the Wind Fish during his adventure on Koholint Island. Inverted Song of Time - Z6 When Link explored the world of Termina, time was of the essence. Whenever he wished to drastically slow the passage of time, Link would play the Inverted Song of Time on his Ocarina. According to ancient scrolls, the Inverted Song of Time was played by pressing Down, A, Right, Down, A, Right. Iron Boots - Z5 Normal leather boots are reinforced with heavy iron soles to give the wearer the ability to walk freely underwater or to stomp through strong winds. Iron Knuckle - Z2, Z5, Z6 Iron Knuckle is a monstrous metal knight who has been known to sit motionless for hundreds of years without moving an inch. When it spots an intruder, Iron Knuckle springs to life and fights ferociously. On some occasions, Iron Knuckle fights atop an armored horse. Iron Mask - Z4 Iron Mask is the common term for a particular type of tiny monster which plagued Koholint Island before Link's arrival. Hiding behind a strong iron mask, these fierce villains were nearly impervious to attack. Island Palace - Z2 Located in central Hyrule, the Island Palace was visited by Link during his quest to recover the shards of the Magic Crystal and rouse Princess Zelda from her unnatural slumber. Within the Palace walls, Link found the Raft and defeated Ironknuckle. Japas - Z6 Japas was a famous bassist in the all-Zora rock band The Indigo-Go's. Jim - Z6 Jim was the leader of the Bombers Gang at the time when Link first arrived in Termina. As leader, he wore a red kerchief rather than a blue one. Joelle - Z5 One of four Poe Sisters who haunted the Forest Temple until Link was able to put her soul to rest. Jump Spell - Z2 During Link's quest to recover the six shards of the Magic Crystal, Link frequently used the power of magical Spells. Link used the Jump Spell to reach places he previously could not. Kaepora Gaebora - Z4, Z5, Z6 This wise old owl was always willing to lend helpful advice to Link throughout his adventures. When necessary, Kaepora Gaebora was even known to carefully carry Link to safety in his gigantic talons. Kafei - Z6 Kafei is the name of a young man who Link helped to reunite with his fiancŽ Anju. Kafei was so grateful that he wrote a story based on this experience and helped to spread Link's legendary status throughout Termina. Kafei's Mask - Z6 Link used Kafei's Mask to impersonate the young man whom he was trying to reunite with his fiancŽ Anju. Kakariko Village - Z3, Z5 Under the shadow of Death Mountain lies the village of Kakariko. According to local legend, Zelda's protector Impa had once come to Kakariko Village and liberated the town from a band of Gerudo thieves. The face of Kakariko Village has changed over the years, but it is still very similar to the way it was when Link visited it on a regular basis. Kakariko Well - Z5 A man-made water source in Kakariko Village where Sheik once imprisoned an evil spirit. Kakariko Windmill - Z5 Still standing, the Kakariko Windmill has pumped water into the Kakariko well for centuries. Traditionally, an organ-grinder is in charge of overseeing work at the Windmill. Kamaro - Z6 Known as the ghost dancer, Kamaro nightly performs a spiritual dance on a mushroom-shaped rock in north Termina Field. Kamaro's Mask - Z6 The Kamaro's Mask allows its owner to perfectly perform the spiritual movements of Kamaro's ghost dance. Kanalet Castle - Z4 Located north of the Ukuku Prairie and south of the Tal Tal Mountains, Kanalet Castle is the oldest standing structure on Koholint Island. The castle was once home to a royal family who governed the island, but the monarchy has long since crumbled. The last person with royal blood to inhabit Kanalet Castle was Richard, but he was run out of the castle by his own servants. Kanalet Soldiers - Z4 Kanalet Soldiers once patrolled the Kanalet Castle on Koholint Island. These soldiers overthrew the royal family and tried to form a new kingdom on their own, but they were unable to create a peaceful balance of power. Link faced many of these warriors while collecting Richard's five Golden Leaves. Keaton - Z6 Keaton is the name of a three-tailed ghost fox who loves to test the knowledge of anyone who crosses his path in the Terminan landscape. Keaton Mask - Z5, Z6 In Hyrule, the Keaton Mask is little more than a playful disguise. In Termina, the Keaton Mask allows its wearer to summon the ghost of the fox that the mask is named after. Keese - Z1, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6, Z7, Z8 Keese prefer to peacefully hang from the ceiling in dark places, but they can quickly sneak up on anyone who doesn't keep a sharp ear out for the chilling sound of their flapping wings. They move constantly, which makes them very difficult to defeat. Key Cavern - Z4 Found on Koholint Island, the Key Cavern is one of the eight dungeons Link conquered during his quest to wake the Wind Fish. In the Cavern, Link found the Pegasus Boots and defeated Slime Eyes to get the Sea Lily Bell. Kholdstare - Z3 Kholdstare was the guardian of the Ice Palace, where Link recovered a magical Crystal on his quest to unlock the entrance to Ganon's Tower. Kholdstare was embedded in a block of ice when Link first set eyes on it, but soon it was Kholdstare whose eyes were flying around the room trying to get more than just a friendly glance at Link. Kiki the Monkey - Z3, Z4 Kiki is a common name among Monkeys, and Link actually made friends with two monkeys named Kiki during his adventures. The first Kiki Link met helped him to enter the Palace of Darkness, and the second showed him how to enter Kanalet Castle on Koholint Island. King Dodongo - Z5 Many times the size of a regular Dodongo, the King Dodongo was the guardian of Dodongo's Cavern until Link defeated it by shoving Bombs down the armored monster's throat. King of Evil - See Ganon King Zora - Z5 Schools of Zoras follow under the leadership of the great King Zora. Though Lord Jabu-Jabu is the domain's patron deity, King Zora is the ruling monarch. Link became the personal friend of one of the very first Zoras to serve as King. Koholint Island - Z4 Koholint Island is a mysterious place. Believed to lie far off the coast of Eastern Hyrule in the Great Sea, Koholint Island was the stage for one of Link's most challenging quests. There is great debate about the existence of this small but diverse island, since Link was never able to determine whether the island truly existed or if it was just the product of an elaborate dream. For scientific purposes, it is treated as a real location in this encyclopedia. Koholint Prairie - Z4 The Koholint Prairie makes up a large portion Koholint Island. It's vast expanse is covered with trees and small pools of water. Kokiri Boots - Z5, Z6 Kokiri Boots are the traditional footwear of the Kokiri Children. They are made from leather sewn together with fibers from the leaves of Deku Babas. Kokiri Children - Z5 The children of the Kokiri Forest were many, living under the protection of their guardian fairies and the Great Deku Tree. Most Kokiri, such as Saria, were friends to Link. Unfortunately, all of the Kokiri Children were forced to endure the bully, Mido, who never hesitated to tease Link, the only boy without a fairy. As long as the Kokiri Children stayed in the forest, they would never grow old. Kokiri Forest - Z5 The Kokiri Forest is most famous for being the place where Link spent his early childhood. Under the ever-watchful and wise Great Deku Tree, the Kokiri Forest continues to flourish with the essence of life. Amid the concealing tress of the vast forest, the Kokiri Children and their guardian fairies live together and never grew old. Kokiri Sword - Z5 The mystical Kokiri Sword was a treasure of the forest, but Link knew that if he was to become a hero he would need its might by his side. The Kokiri Sword became Link's very first blade. Kokiri Tunic - Z5, Z6 All Children of Forest wear Kokiri Tunics -- sleeveless green shirts well-suited for forest living. Kokiri's Emerald - Z5 Kokiri's Emerald is a Spiritual Stone which, when combined with two others, was once able to open the door to the Golden Land in the Temple of Time. Link recovered the Kokiri's Emerald after defeating Gohma in the Great Deku Tree. Kotake - Z5, Z6, Z7, Z8 Kotake is one of the sisters who make up the wicked team called Twinrova. In Termina, Kotake runs the Magic Hags' Potion Shop deep within the Woods of Mystery. Koume - Z5, Z6, Z7, Z8 Koume is one of the sisters who make up the wicked team called Twinrova. In Termina, Koume operates a cruise boat business in the Southern Swamp. Kurobo - Z6 Kurobos are small black masses with beady yellow eyes who indiscriminately attack based on floor vibrations. Labrynna - Z7 Labrynna is a realm similar to Hyrule, but located many miles away. This land is relevant to Link's life because as a young adventurer he saved Labrynna's inhabitants from an evil sorceress named Veran. Like Hyrule, Labrynna is home to a variety of races including Zorans, Gorons and Deku Scrubs. Ladder - Z1 Ladders are frequently used in Hyrule to bridge small gaps, often over running water or flowing lava. Lake Hylia - Z1, Z2, Z3, Z5 Nestled in the southern ridge of Hyrule, far from the scorched sands of the desert, lies the serenely captivating Lake Hylia. Soft waves lick its shores as schools of rainbow-hued fish leap through the air. Far beneath the surface of its crystal clear water lies the legendary Water Temple. Lakeside Laboratory - Z5 Positioned on the edge of Lake Hylia, the Lakeside Laboratory is operated by an old man whose family has been researching the secrets of Lake Hylia for centuries. Lamp - See "Lantern" Lanmola - Z3 Three Lanmolas were the guardians of the Desert Palace, where Link recovered the Pendant of Power on his quest to find the Master Sword. Lanmolas are large flesh-eating worms which burrow in and out of sandy locations. Lanmola's Shadow - Z4 During Link's final battle in Koholint Island's Wind Fish Egg, he faced a series of dark guardians which were shadows of his former foes. The fifth of these creatures to appear was Lanmola's Shadow, which Link defeated by attacking it with the Magic Rod. Lantern - Z3 Fueled by magical power, the Lantern can illuminate dark passageways and light extinguished braziers. Link was known to make ample use of Lanterns and Candles during his travels. Leever - Z1, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6 Native to the desert wasteland, the Leever is a malicious cactus with a taste not for water, but for blood. Leevers move slowly, but they posses a fatal sting. Lens of Truth - Z5, Z6 Fueled by magical power, the Lens of Truth allows its owner to peer through fake walls and view invisible items such as treasure chests. Even ghosts are unable to hide from this mystical device. Letter - Z4 During his adventure on Koholint Island, Link made the goat in Animal Village very happy by giving it the Hibiscus. In return, Link received the Letter. Link made similar trades like this with many of the island's inhabitants, and in the end his kindness was rewarded with the Magnifying Glass. Letter to Old Lady - Z1 During Link's quest to recover the shattered pieces of the Triforce of Wisdom, he selflessly took the time to deliver this famous letter to the Old Lady. She rewarded Link greatly by allowing him to purchase Potions from her whenever he wished. Library - Z3, Z4 On the mainland of Hyrule, the Library is located just south of Kakariko Village. On the island of Koholint, the Library is found in the southwestern corner of Mabe Village. Both branches provide local residents with a wide variety of books covering many different subjects. Life Spell - Z2 During Link's quest to recover the six shards of the Magic Crystal, Link frequently used the power of magical Spells. Link used the Life Spell to refill his drained energy. Light Arrows - Z5, Z6 Light Arrows require massive amounts of magical power to use, but they're extremely effective. These magical weapons cause much more damage than normal arrows, particularly when they are used against dark-souled enemies who fear the light. Light Medallion - Z5 This token served as a physical symbol of the power of Rauru, Sage to the Temple of Light. Link used the combined power of seven Spiritual Medallions such as this to seal Ganon in the Dark World. Light World - Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6 After Hyrulians began to refer to the Golden Land as the Dark World due to Ganondorf's evil influence, the normal world of Hyrule became known to many as the Light World. Like Like - Z1, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6, Z7, Z8 Like Likes are nocturnal monsters who stalk the land looking for enemies to inhale. They are nothing more than a pulsating tubes of flesh, but they are surprisingly fast and able to suck up their prey in a heartbeat. Like Likes don't have a taste for humans, but they frequently inhale them anyway to munch on their shields and swords. Link - Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6, Z7, Z8 Also known as The Hero of Time, all creatures big and small owe their lives to this legendary adventurer. Link's list of accomplishments sprawls longer than we could even begin to list here, but he is most well known for his vital role in keeping Ganon, The King of Evil, safely locked away in the Dark World. Some of Link's most famous accomplishments include rescuing Princess Zelda on multiple occasions, saving the citizens of Termina, Labrynna and Holodrum from certain demise, as well as freeing the island of Koholint from savage monster attacks. Humble to the end, Link is known not merely as a hero but as a symbol of courage, strength and wisdom as well. Tales of his bravery will never cease, and his legend will never ever die. Link Doll - Z2 Its origin is uncertain, but whoever created the Link Doll was definitely a friend of the Hero of Time. When Link carried a Link Doll, he would instantly come back to life even if all his energy was depleted. Link Dungeon The Link Dungeon is one of the four mystical dungeons which Link explored while inside Termina's Moon. Link's Shadow - See "Dark Link." Lizalfos - Z5, Z6 Lizalfos are feared reptilian warriors with spiked armor and powerful swords. They are able to jump great distances and sometimes work in pairs. Loach - Z5 The Loach is a Hyrulian fish sought after by the world's best fishermen. Among the fisherman in Hyrule, Link's greatest accomplishment was not saving the world, but rather showing the skill to reel in a Loach. Lon Lon Cows - Z5 Cows from the Lon Lon Ranch have a reputation in Hyrule for providing the best tasting milk. In addition to quenching thirst, the milk from a Lon Lon Cow is said to replenish drained energy. Link frequently drank Lon Lon Milk, which is likely what helped to build the reputation of the Lon Lon Cows. Lon Lon Milk - Z5 Delicious milk drawn from the world-famous cows of Lon Lon Ranch. Lon Lon Ranch - Z5 Perched high atop a plateau in the center of Hyrule Field, the Lon Lon Ranch has prospered for years from the fame of its prized cows, horses and cuccos. Lone Peak Shrine - Z6 Located in northern Goron Village, the Lone Peak Shrine is where Link discovered the Lens of Truth in Termina. Longshot - Z5 The Longshot improves on the basic Hookshot design by increasing the length of the chain. This allows the tool to reach much farther than the regular Hookshot. Lord Jabu-Jabu - Z5 Lord Jabu-Jabu, the patron deity of the Zoras, is a mammoth fish who has lived in a secluded fountain behind King Zora's throne for centuries. The leviathan is covered in ornate markings, which symbolizes his exalted position in Zoran culture. Lord Jabu-Jabu's Belly - Z5 When Link visited the Zoras, he learned that Lord Jabu-Jabu had recently fallen very ill. Link bravely entered the belly of this monstrous deity, and defeated the monstrous parasites which were plaguing it. Lost Hills - Z1 Located in the heart of Death Mountain, the Lost Hills region is a treacherous stretch of land where many adventurers have been known to lose their way. Through some magical power, many travelers report feeling an overpowering sense of dŽjˆ vu while passing through. Lost Woods - Z1, Z3, Z5, Z6 Few souls who enter the Lost Woods ever make it out alive. Filled with twists and turns, it is easy for inexperienced travelers to quickly become helplessly lost within its criss-crossing pathways. Many believe that there is a magic force at work within the Lost Woods. Lottery Shop - Z6 Like Hyrulians, Terminans love games of chance. The Lottery Shop in West Clock Town runs a daily numbers game for anyone who's feeling lucky. Lowder - Z2 Lowders are small blue beetles which live deep within Hyrule's darkest caves. They are mostly harmless, but some have been known to attack when caught off-guard. Lulu - Z6 Lulu was a famous vocalist in the all-Zora rock band The Indigo-Go's. Lumberjack's House - Z3 Located conveniently near the Lost Woods, the Lumberjack's House has been a resting place for Hylian loggers for many years. After a long day of falling trees in the Lost Woods, lumberjacks return to the house for decent night's sleep and a hearty breakfast. Lynel - Z1 Lynels are fierce warriors who protect and patrol Death Mountain. Mabe Village - Z4 Mabe Village is the central hub of activity on Koholint Island. The village offers a top-notch library, friendly people and plenty of entertainment. Link spent a lot of time in Mabe Village during his quest to wake the Wind Fish and bring peace to the island. Mad Bomber - Z4 Once a demolitions expert for the Kanalet royal family, the Mad Bomber went insane and began living underground just outside of Kanalet Castle. Link put this troubled soul to rest during his mission to find Richard's five Golden Leaves. Madam Aroma - Z6 Madam Aroma was the wife of Mayor Dotour, who served as Mayor while Link was struggling to save Termina from the falling Moon. Madam MeowMeow - Z4 Madam MeowMeow was a friend to all animals who lived in Mabe Village at the time Link paid his visit to Koholint Island. Link helped her find her lost pet, BowWow. Magic Bean - Z5, Z6 Magic Beans are rare, but anyone with enough Rupees can purchase a small supply. If planted in a soft spot of soil, Magic Beans sprout fluffy leaves which can carry a passenger high into the air. Magic Crystal - Z2 The origin of the Magic Crystal is a mystery, but at some point in the early history of Hyrule this legendary relic was shattered into six individual shards. These shards were buried for centuries within six dungeons, ferociously guarded by fearsome creatures. Through an ancient magic, the six Magic Crystals contained the power to open the gate to the Great Palace. To activate this magical reaction, Link placed each shard on spiritual statues housed within the dungeons. Magic Book - Z1 When combined with the power of the Magic Book, the Fire Rod's power is greatly intensified. Magic Boomerang - Z1, Z3 The Magic Boomerang is thrown in exactly the same manner as the regular Boomerang, but thanks to an ancient power it is able to travel much farther than its wooden cousin. Magic Cape - Z3 The Magic Cape is a fashionable item, but it doesn't receive many compliments since whoever wears it turns invisible! Anyone wearing the Magic Cape is invulnerable to enemy attack or detection. This mystical garment is fueled by magic power. Magic Containers - Z2 When Link found it necessary to use magic power frequently, he carried Magic Containers to store extra energy. Magic Glove - Z3 The Magic Glove gives its owner the power to smash even the strongest rocks into tiny bits of gravel. Magic Hags' Potion Shop - Z6 This profitable Terminan business is run by Kotake. Her sister Koume runs the counter occasionally, but generally she is too busy with her cruise boat business to help. Magic Hammer - See Megaton Hammer Magic Jars - Z2, Z5, Z6 Found randomly throughout the land or sold at shops, Magic Jars replenish drained magic power. Magic Jars come in three varieties: Red, Blue or Green. Magic Key - Z1, Z2 This famous key uses a magical power to open any lock. Its creator hid it well, since it could cause so much damage if it ever fell into wrong the hands. Luckily, it was found by Link. Magic Mirror - Z3 The Magic Mirror allowed Link to travel freely between the Light World and the Dark World. By gazing into the depths of the mirror and picturing himself in the other world, Link propelled himself through a magical whirling vortex. Magic Mushroom - Z3 The spongy flesh of a Magic Mushroom is the primary ingredient in the Witch's Magic Potion. Magic Potion - Z3 Found nestled in bushes or contained within the remains of fallen enemies, Magic Potions replenish drained magic power. Magic Powder - Z3, Z4 Magic Powder can perform a variety of tasks, depending on the wishes of the person who holds it. Common uses include lighting braziers and defeating enemies. Magic Shield - See "Mirror Shield" Magic Sword - See "Master Sword." Magic Wand - See "Fire Rod." Magic Rod - See "Fire Rod." Magnifying Glass - Z4 Link received the Magnifying Glass after presenting the Mermaid Statue with a Mermaid Scale. Using this tool, Link was able to read the book called "Dark Secrets and Mysteries of Koholint." Also, Link used the Magnifying glass to allow him to see the tiny Goryia who gave him the powerful Boomerang. Majora's Incarnation - Z6 When the evil power of Majora's Mask manifests itself in physical form, it is most comfortable existing as Majora's Incarnation. In this body, Majora possesses long skinny arms and legs with one all-seeing eye protruding from its body. Majora's Mask - Z6 Created ages ago by a long-forgotten race, Majora's Mask is a mysterious relic which holds unimaginable power. True evil is held within the mask, and whoever wears it is unable to resist the dark temptations which lurk deep within their minds. Majora's Mask, though, is just a physical symbol of the dark evil which hides beneath the surface. Link was able to defeat that evil force in Termina, but no one is certain that it is gone for good. Majora's Wrath - Z6 When the evil of Majora's Mask manifests itself, it first appears as Majora's Incarnation. When it can no longer contain itself in that body, it shows its true face: Majora's Wrath. In this form, Majora rages as a humanoid figure with extremely long tentacles protruding from each hand. Maku Tree (female) - Z7 The mystical Maku Tree gives strength and order to the land of Labrynna. Its spirit was once greatly damaged by Veran, but Link restored its power by collecting eight Essences of Time. Maku Tree (male) - Z8 The Maku Tree is the guardian of the Oracle of Seasons and all of Holodrum. General Onox damaged its spirit many years ago, but Link helped it to recover by collecting eight valuable Essences of Nature. Maku Tree Sprout - Z7 When Labrynna's Maku Tree was just a seedling, the great hero Link saved it from a marauding group of Moblins. This courageous deed saved the Maku Tree's life, and helped to ensure the stability of Labrynna's future. Malon - Z5 The spirited and lovely daughter of Talon, Malon enjoyed her life on Lon Lon Ranch. She was one of the first friends Link made after leaving Kokiri Forest. Mamu - Z4 Mamu is the name of a famous frog who once lived near the Signpost Maze on Koholint Island. Mamu taught Link how to play the Frog Song of Soul on the Ocarina. Manbo - Z4 Manbo is the name of a mellow fish who used to live in Koholint Island's Tal Tal Heights. Manbo is famous for teaching Link how to play Manbo's Mambo on the Ocarina. Manbo's Mambo - Z4 While stranded on Koholint Island, Link used this catchy tune to warp throughout the island. Manbo's Mambo was named after the son of the Sun Fish. Manhandla - Z1 Manhandla was a powerful dungeon guardian defeated by Link during his quest to recover the shattered pieces of the Triforce of Wisdom. Perhaps related to the Deku Baba, Manhandla was a man-eating plant with four laser-emitting leaves. Marin - Z4 Marin is the name of a lovely young girl who became Link's best friend during his stay on Koholint Island. Marin was able to help Link frequently throughout his quest, but her most notable contribution was teaching him how to play the Ballad of the Wind Fish on his Ocarina. Marine Research Laboratory - Z6 In Termina's Great Bay Coast, the Marine Research Laboratory is well-established as the leading authority on marine biology in Termina. Market - Z5 Contained within the walls of Hyrule Castle, the Market is a place where shopkeepers and citizens can interact and conduct business. Customers can not only buy provisions and equipment, but they can also enjoy a little afternoon entertainment as well. Martha - Z4 Martha is the name of a mermaid who once lived on Koholint Island. Martha's Bay was named after her, and she played a vital role in helping Link to locate the Magnifying Glass. Martha's Bay - Z4 Martha's Bay is a small inlet of water on Koholint Island known for its many oddities. It is not unusual to spot mermaids, ghosts or both during even a short visit to Martha's Bay. Mask-Mimics - Z4 Native to the dungeons of Koholint Island, these pretenders wear masks and precisely match the moves of their opponents. Mask of Scents - Z6 This pig-shaped mask allows its owner to sniff out tasty fungi. While wearing the mask, the pungent scent of fungus is displayed as a purple haze. Mask of Truth - Z5, Z6 The Mask of Truth allows its wearer to communicate with Sheikah Stones. Master Sword - Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z7, Z8 Hyrule's most legendary blade is the Master Sword. Forged centuries before becoming Link's most well-loved weapon, the Master Sword consists of more than just steel. It possesses a magical power which is aligned toward the forces of valor and kindness. The Master Sword will not allow itself to be held by just anyone. Only a pure soul filled with the forces of good may lay hands on the Master Sword. Mayor Dotour - Z6 Mayor Dotour was the acting Mayor of Clock Town during the Great Moon Crisis. Maze Palace - Z2 Located in northeastern Hyrule, the Maze Palace was visited by Link during his quest to recover the shards of the Magic Crystal and rouse Princess Zelda from her unnatural slumber. Within the Palace walls, Link found the Winged Boots and defeated Carock. Meg - Z5 One of four Poe Sisters who haunted the Forest Temple until Link was able to put her soul to rest. Megaton Hammer - Z2, Z3, Z5 "Megaton" is the brand name of a weighty hammer used in Hyrule for a variety of purposes. Also referred to as the "Magic Hammer" or just "Hammer", the Megaton Hammer can pound down posts, smash enemies, or even knock down statues. Mermaid Scale - Z4 During his adventure on Koholint Island, Link made Martha the Mermaid very happy by giving her the Necklace. In return, Link received the Mermaid Scale. Link made similar trades like this with many of the island's inhabitants, and in the end his kindness was rewarded with the Magnifying Glass. Mido - Z5 Mido lived in the Kokiri Forest and was well-known as bully. He refused to allow Link to visit the Deku Tree, and pestered him constantly for not having his own guardian fairy. Mido, Town of - Z2 Mido is a small town in central Hyrule named after Mido, a Kokiri bully famous for picking on Link. Midoro Palace - Z2 Located in eastern Hyrule, the Midoro Palace was visited by Link during his quest to recover the shards of the Magic Crystal and rouse Princess Zelda from her unnatural slumber. Within the Palace walls, Link found the Glove and defeated Helmethead. Mighty Training Center - Z6 The Mighty Training Center is a place for beginning swordsmen to learn how to battle like a true hero. Located in West Clock Town, even Link spent some time studying at the Mighty Training Center Mikau - Z6 Mikau was a great Zoran guitar player who passed away during his trek to recover Lulu's missing Zora Eggs. When Link wore the Zora Mask, he was able to inhabit Mikau's body and help the deceased Zoran reach his goal. Milk Bar - Z6 The Milk Bar is one of the most popular night spots in Clock Town. Although it's a members- only establishment, those lucky enough to gain entrance always have a good time inside. Milk Road - Z6 In Termina, Milk Road begins just southwest of Clock Town and leads to Romani Ranch. Mini Moldorm - Z4, Z7, Z8 Mini Moldorms are smaller than adult Moldorms (large flesh-eating worms), but their thirst for blood is no less intense. Minuet of Forest - Z5 Link played the Minuet of Forest on the Ocarina whenever he wished to warp to the Forest Temple in the Lost Woods. According to ancient scrolls, this somber song was played by pressing A, Up, Left, Right, Left, Right. Mirror Portal -Z3 Mirror Portals were created by Link whenever he used the Magic Mirror in the Dark World. When he returned to the Light World, he could step into the Mirror Portal to return to Ganon's domain. Mirror Shield - Z3, Z5, Z6 The Mirror Shield serves the same purpose as the Hylian Shield, but it is able to reflect light and magical attacks with greater accuracy. Misery Mire - Z3 Found only in the Dark World, the Misery Mire is one of the seven Palaces Link explored during his quest to recover the Crystals necessary to unlock Ganon's Tower. Within its walls, Link found the Cane of Somaria and defeated the palace guardian named Vitreous. Moblin - Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z7, Z8 Moblins, or "Molblins" as they've come to be called recently, are piggish brutes who attack with swords and care only about food and Rupees. Ganondorf (and later Ganon) frequently hired bands of Moblin mercenaries to seek out and destroy Link. Moa - Z2 Moa are large disconnected eyeballs who are mysteriously able to fly through the air. They have no mouths or claws, but the lubrication which coats their external membranes is toxic to the touch. Moby - Z2 Mobies are large, orange birds who circle high in the sky then dive-bomb their prey. Moldorm - Z3, Z4 Moldorms are huge worms with an aggressive attitude and a thirst for blood. Link encountered two Moldorms during his travels. One Moldorm was the guardian of the Tower of Hera, where Link recovered the Pendant of Wisdom on his quest to find the Master Sword. The other was guardian of the Tail Cave, where Link recovered the Full Moon Cello in his quest to wake the Wind Fish. Moldorm's Shadow - Z4 During Link's final battle in Koholint Island's Wind Fish Egg, he faced a series of dark guardians which were shadows of his former foes. The third of these creatures to appear was Moldorm's Shadow, which Link defeated by striking its tail with his sword. Monkey - Z3, Z4, Z6 Monkeys are a common sight in Hyrule as well as Termina. Terminan monkeys are on friendly terms with Hylians, but the monkeys on Koholint Island have been known to toss coconuts at passers-by for no reason whatsoever. Monster Bait - Z1 Monster Bait is the adventurer's term for any hunk of meat used to distract or bribe a potential enemy. Moon - Z6 Since the Terminan Moon threatened to crash into the world, it has been the object of much discussion regarding its supernatural power. In reality, the Moon was simply affected by the dark power of Majora's Mask and nothing more. Once Link was able to destroy the evil forces behind the Mask, the Moon was no longer a threat. Moon Dungeons - Z6 This is the common name for the four mystical dungeons Link explored while inside Termina's Moon: the Deku Dungeon, the Goron Dungeon, the Zora Dungeon and the Link Dungeon. Moon Pearl - Z3 Without the protective power of the Moon Pearl, Link would have never been able to accomplish anything in the Dark World. Without it, Link was transformed into a bunny rabbit each time he entered Ganon's domain. Moon's Tear - Z6 When the Terminan Moon was under the spell of Majora's Mask, it would often cry precious tears which would fall to the ground intact. These beautiful blue stones were called Moon's Tears, and they are now worth many Rupees to collectors. Morpha - Z5 Morpha inhabited the Water Temple in Lake Hylia until Link was able to send it to the spirit realm. An unholy amoebae, Morpha possessed the ability to control the water in which it lived and create long-reaching tentacles to snare its prey. Moosh - Z7, Z8 Moosh was the name of a giant blue polar bear who moved through the air on graceful wings. Moosh was a great friend to Link, carrying him through the air and helping the hero to crush enemies. Mothula - Z3 Mothula was the guardian of the Skull Woods Palace, where Link recovered a magical Crystal on his quest to unlock the entrance to Ganon's Tower. Mothula was a giant moth who made its nest in a dark room filled with Spike Traps and moving floor tiles. Mount Tamaranch - Z4 Found on Koholint Island, Mount Tamaranch is a tall peak in the Tal Tal Mountains where the Wind Fish decided to construct its hibernation egg. Mountain Cave - Z3 Found within the rocky passageways of Death Mountain, the Mountain Cave is where Link discovered the ultra-powerful Magic Mirror. Mountain Village - Z6 The Mountain Village is located in Termina's Northern Mountain. The natural cycle of seasons was once disrupted due to the power of Majora's Mask, but Link was able to unlock the frozen cycle and ease the minds of the Goron villagers. Mutt - Z4 Mutt is the name of a small dog who lived in Mabe Village during Link's visit to Koholint Island. Though mostly friendly, he would attack if provoked. Mr. Barten - Z6 Mr. Barten was the bartender of Clock Town's famous Milk Bar during the Great Moon Crisis. Mr. Write - Z4 Mr. Write was a reclusive man who lived in the Goponga Swamp on Koholint Island. He played an important role in helping Link find the Magnifying Glass. Music Box House - Z6 Located in Termina's Ikana Canyon, the Music Box House blares melodies throughout the region to scare away unwanted ghosts and evil spirits. Mysterious Forest - Z4 Also known as the Mysterious Woods, this eerie forest on Koholint Island is filled with dangerous enemies and confusing trails. Many residents of the nearby Mabe Village are currently lobbying to have the entire forest clear-cut to get rid of the troublesome Moblins who make their homes there. Mysterious Pond - Z3 Found behind a cracked wall in the Pyramid of Power, the Mysterious Pond is home to a very generous Great Fairy. Nabooru - Z5 The beautiful and mysterious Nabooru was a thief of the Gerudo, but she worked alone and never followed Ganondorf, whom she knew to be a wicked king. She also served as Sage to the Spirit Temple, and assisted Link greatly in his first struggle against the forces of evil. Nabooru, Town of - Z2 Nabooru is a small town in eastern Hyrule named after Nabooru, Sage to the Spirit Temple. Navi - Z5, Z6 Though no one has seen Navi for many years, she played a crucial role in Link's very first adventure. Navi used her network of fairy friends to provide Link with valuable information about enemies, areas and other items. If Link ever wandered off course, Navi would always make sure that he remained focused on the task at hand. Nayru, Goddess of Wisdom - Z5 Working with her two sisters, Nayru assisted in the creation of Hyrule at the beginning of time. She also contributed the Triforce of Wisdom to the Sacred Triforce. Nayru, Oracle of Ages - Z7 Named after the Goddess of Wisdom, Nayru served as the Oracle of Ages in Labrynna. She possessed the power to shift through the folds of time, and was known to have one of the most beautiful singing voices ever heard. Nayru's Love - Z5 In addition to creating Hyrule and the Triforce of Wisdom, Nayru also forged a powerful spell called Nayru's Love which allows the spellcaster to surround himself with impenetrable shield. The fairies kept this spell secret for ages until they taught it to Link, the Hero of Time. Necklace - Z4 During his adventure on Koholint Island, Link made the Fisherman very happy by giving him the Fishing Hook. In return, Link received the Necklace. Link made similar trades like this with many of the island's inhabitants, and in the end his kindness was rewarded with the Magnifying Glass. Nejiron - Z6 Nejirons appear to be simple creatures, but they are in fact highly evolved hunting machines. They have adapted to resemble a rolling Goron, but instead of passing by peacefully, a Nejiron will charge ruthlessly into is victim. New Kasuto Town - Z2 Forced to flee from their homes, a group of villagers from Kasuto fled east to establish a new town on Hyrule's eastern coast. This town was named New Kasuto to honor their previous home. New Wave Bossa Nova - Z6 Link earned the right to learn this song by returning seven Zora Eggs to the Marine Research Lab in Termina. When played, its funky rhythm awakened the giant sleeping turtle. According to ancient scrolls, the New Wave Bossa Nova was played by pressing Left, Up, Left, Right, Down, Left, Right. Nightmare Key - Z4 Nightmare Keys are well-hidden keys which are often used to unlock the lairs of dungeon guardians. Nocturne of Shadow - Z5 Link's mysterious ally Sheik taught him how to play this song after he had recovered four Spiritual Medallions in his first quest. When Link played it on the Ocarina, it would warp him directly to the entrance of the Shadow Temple. According to ancient scrolls, the Nocturne of Shadow was played by pressing Left, Right, Right, A, Left, Right, Down. North Palace - Z2 When Princess Zelda was cursed by Dark Link, she was safely stored within the walls of the North Palace. Northern Mountain - Z6 The Northern Mountain is a monstrous peak which lies north of Termina's Clock Town. Oath to Order - Z6 Perhaps Link's most vital song, the Oath to Order possessed the power to summon the four Spirits which were able to stop the Moon from crashing into Clock Town. According to ancient scrolls, the Oath to Order was played by pressing Right, Down, A, Down, Right, Up. Ocarina of Time - Z5, Z6 A treasured heirloom of the Royal Family, the Ocarina of Time is a magical instrument which contains great power when held in the right hands. Link used the Ocarina to play mystical songs which greatly aided him in many of his adventures. Oceanside Spider House - Z6 Surrounded by the calm beauty of Termina's Great Bay Coast, the Oceanside Spider House was once infested with dozens of Gold Skulltulas. One unlucky human was cursed by these spider- like monsters, until Link exterminated the entire horde and lifted the unholy curse. Octoroks - Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6, Z7, Z8 Octoroks can live either on land or in water. They move under the power of eight squirming legs and shoot rocks at their enemies. On Koholint Island, some Octoroks have developed the ability to fly. Odd Mushroom - Z5 The Odd Mushroom was an unusual fungus which Link delivered to the old woman in Kakariko Village's Potion Shop. Odd Potion - Z5 The Odd Potion was a strange concoction of fungus and other ingredients which Link was kind enough to deliver to a young girl in the Lost Woods. Odolwa - Z6 Odolwa is the name of a masked jungle warrior who once served as guardian to the Woodfall Temple in the Southern Swamp of Termina. Old Kasuto Town - Z2 Located in southeastern Hyrule, Old Kasuto Town is a deserted village inhabited only by ghosts. Onox - See General Onox Organ of Evening Calm - Z4 One of the eight Instruments of the Sirens, the Organ of Evening Calm brings peace and tranquility to anyone who hears its windy notes. Link combined the power of the Organ of the Evening Calm with the other Instruments of the Sirens to wake the Wind Fish on Koholint Island. Owl Statue - Z4, Z6 Carved to resemble Kaepora Gaebora, Owl Statues are commonly found throughout Termina and on the island of Koholint. In Termina, these states contain a magical power which Link used to freeze time when he felt like taking a rest. On Koholint, these statues provided Link with valuable clues to aid him in his quest to wake the Wind Fish. Pairodd - Z4 Native to Koholint Island, Pairodds are stocky bird-like creatures with sharp bills. They use a magical power to teleport themselves from one place to another, which makes them excellent hunters. Palace of Darkness - Z3 Found only in the Dark World, the Palace of Darkness is one of the seven Palaces Link explored during his quest to recover the Crystals necessary to unlock Ganon's Tower. Within its walls, Link found the Hammer and defeated the palace guardian named Helmasaur King. Palace on the Sea - Z2 Located in eastern Hyrule, the Palace on the Sea was visited by Link during his quest to recover the shards of the Magic Crystal and rouse Princess Zelda from her unnatural slumber. Within the Palace walls, Link found the Flute and defeated Gooma. Pamela - Z6 Pamela is the name of a young girl who once lived inside the Music Box House in Termina's Ikana Canyon. Papahl - Z4 Papahl was the father figure in the Quadruplet Family, who lived in Mabe Village. Together with the rest of his family, Papahl played an important role in helping Link to find the Magnifying Glass. Parapa Palace - Z2 Located in northern Hyrule, the Parapa Palace was visited by Link during his quest to recover the shards of the Magic Crystal and rouse Princess Zelda from her unnatural slumber. Within the Palace walls, Link found the Candle and defeated Horsehead. Parasitic Tentacle - Z5 Parasitic Tentacles are formed within living creatures who have been infected by parasites. Their brains consist of nothing more than a jumbled mass of nerve endings, which makes them indiscriminate hunters. Peahat - Z1, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6, Z7, Z8 Peahats are large carnivorous plants who attack their prey with razor-sharp whirling blades. Peahat Larva - Z5, Z6 When pregnant Peahats are destroyed, they release a brood of blood-thirsty offspring known as Peahat Larva. Pedastal of Time - Z5 Guarded by Sage Rauru in the Temple of Time, the Pedastal of Time is where Link drew legendary Master Sword from its stony prison. Pegasus Boots - Z3, Z4 Also known as Pegasus Shoes, Pegasus Boots can give anyone the power to run up to four times faster than normal. There is actually a slight difference between Shoes and Boots. Pegasus Boots must be charged before use, but Pegasus Shoes will keep going indefinitely. Pendant of Courage - Z3 One of the three Pendants of Virtue, the Pendant of Courage was recovered by Link in the Eastern Palace. Pendant of Memories - Z6 This token of love was given to Link by Kafei, and delivered on his behalf to Anju. Thanks to Link's help, the two young lovers were reunited. Pendant of Power - Z3 One of the three Pendants of Virtue, the Pendant of Power was recovered by Link in the Desert Palace. Pendant of Wisdom - Z3 One of the three Pendants of Virtue, the Pendant of Wisdom was recovered by Link in the Tower of Hera. Pendants of Virtue - Z3 The Pendant of Courage, the Pendant of Power and the Pendant of Wisdom are collectively known as the Pendants of Virtue. When Link returned from his adventure in Termina, hundreds of years had passed in Hyrule and the Master Sword was hidden within the Lost Woods. To re-prove himself as the Hero of Time and demonstrate that he was worthy of the Master Sword, Link had to collect all three Pendants of Virtue. Pengator - Z3 Pengators are duck-billed mammals who live in arctic environments. They slide toward their prey on their stomachs with wide-open jaws. Phantom Ganon - Z5 Perhaps because he was afraid to face Link in the flesh, Ganondorf created Phantom Ganon to battle the Hero of Time within the Forest Temple. He rode upon an armored steed, and launched his attack from mysterious paintings hung deep within the Temple. Link was able to defeat Phantom Ganon after many hours of strenuous battle. Photo Album - Z4.5 The Photo Album is a book with 12 slots for storing photos, stored in the Camera Shop on Koholint Island. Pictograph Box - Z6 The Pictograph Box is an advanced piece of Terminan technology which captures real-world scenes on what is called "film." The Pictograph Box is capable of saving one snapshot at a time. Piece of Heart - Z1, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6, Z7, Z8 Pieces of Heart are the building blocks of Heart Containers. To create a new Heart Container, four Pieces of Heart are required. Pieces of Heart are valued Hyrulian treasures which are frequently given as gifts and signs of gratitude. Piece of Power - Z4 Pieces of Power are physical symbols of strength left behind by some of the wild animals on Koholint. When a warrior picks up a Piece of Power, his offensive abilities are increased. Pincers - Z4 Native to Koholint Island, Pincers live and hunt from small holes in the ground. When a potential meal walks by, they spring from their hiding spots and snatch their prey with powerful pincers. Pineapple - Z4 During his adventure on Koholint Island, Link made the Animal Village cook very happy by giving him the Honeycomb. In return, Link received the Pineapple. Link made similar trades like this with many of the island's inhabitants, and in the end his kindness was rewarded with the Magnifying Glass. Pinnacle Rock - Z6 Pinnacle Rock lies north of the Marine Research Laboratory in Termina's Great Bay Coast. Around the rock, the water thickens into a murky soup making navigation nearly impossible. Pirates - Z6 Certainly related to the Gerudo in Hyrule, the Pirates are a band of women warriors who inhabit Termina's Great Bay Coast. Pirates' Fortress - Z6 Termina's Great Bay Coast is home to both Zoras and Pirates. The Pirates make their home within the Pirate's Fortress. During his Terminan adventure, Link stormed the Pirates' Fortress to recover seven of Lulu's stolen Zora Eggs. Poacher's Saw - Z5 The Poacher's Saw is a double-edged saw used by Hyrulian carpenters. Pocket Egg - Z5 An egg which was given to Link by a young girl in Kakariko Village. When the egg hatched, it turned into Cojiro. Poes - Z1, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6, Z7, Z8 Poe ghosts never left the earthly realm when their spirits crossed to the other side. Some Poes still wander Hyrule Field to this day, and others are known to remain peaceful in their graves until disturbed. Link's travels frequently forced him to face these spooky spirits. Poe Sisters - Z5 The Poe Sisters were four ghostly siblings named Amy, Beth, Joelle and Meg. They haunted the Forest Temple for many years until Link was able to put their souls to rest. Pokey - Z4, Z7, Z8 Pokes are mobile cacti native to the Yarna Desert on Koholint Island. If one portion of a Pokey's body is destroyed by an enemy, it is able to continue thrashing about until its head is destroyed. Pol's Voice - Z1, Z4, Z7, Z8 Pol's Voices are mysterious ghosts found only in dungeons. They have extremely long ears and bounce along the floor in search of living souls to torment. Pond of Happiness - Z3 Located on a small island in Lake Hylia, this tiny pond produces great rewards to anyone who offers a gift of Rupees. Post Office - Z6 Located in West Clock Town, the Post Office keeps the lines of communication wide open all over Termina. Postman's Hat - Z6 Whoever wears the Postman's Hat has the authority to search the many mailboxes positioned throughout Termina. Potions - Z3, Z5, Z6 Brewed from rare herbs and boiled in enchanted cauldrons, Potions played a vital role in helping Link to survive his travels. Red Potions refilled Link's energy, Green Potions refilled Link's magic reserve, and Blue Potions were strong enough to refill both. Pothole Field - Z4 The Pothole Field is an extremely dangerous portion of Koholint Island littered with hidden pits and sink holes. Powder Keg - Z6 Only those certified as demolitions experts have the permission of Gorons to use these ultra-powerful explosives. The incredible blast generated by a Powder Key is strong enough to turn even the biggest boulders into dust. Power Bracelet - Z1, Z4, Z7, Z8 The Power Bracelet gives its owner the strength to move heavy objects such as boulders or gravestones. Power Bracelet #2 - Z4 A more powerful version of the regular Power Bracelet, whoever wears this magical accessory can effortlessly lift incredible weights. Power Glove - Z3 Wearing the Power Glove allows a person to pick up objects which are slightly heavier than they would normally be able to lift. Prelude of Light - Z5 When Link played the Prelude of Light on the Ocarina of Time, its powerful magic warped him directly to the Temple of Light. According to ancient scrolls, the Prelude of Light was played by pressing Up, Right, Up, Right, Left, Right. Prescription - Z5 Many prescriptions are written in Hyrule every day, but this particular prescription was carried by Link to collect eye drops for Biggoron. Princess Ruto - Z5 Fair yet feisty, the daughter of King Zora was a stubborn girl who refused help whenever it was offered. Despite her strong sense of independence, Ruto had a yearning to feel true love. When she discovered that Link had braved the foul stomach of Lord Jabu-Jabu to rescue her, she felt a stirring in her heart. Link later learned that Princess Ruto served as Sage to the Water Temple. Princess Zelda - Z1, Z2, Z3, Z5, Z6, Z7, Z8 Widely admired for her awe-inspiring beauty and well-loved for her charitable soul, Princess Zelda has always been the greatest treasure of the Royal Family. Kindness ran so strongly in her blood that future daughters born to the Royal Family all displayed her same generosity and bore her name as well. Due to Link's time travel and inter-dimensional treks, he was fortunate enough to meet the first Princess to bear the name Zelda as well as one other. Both, he discovered, were alike in beauty and equally prone to trouble. Link, of course, was always willing to assist the Royal Family whenever he was needed. Professor Shikashi - Z6 The knowledgeable Professor Shikashi was the chief researcher at the Astral Observatory when Link was exploring Termina. The Professor was wise in many fields -- not just astronomy. Pyramid of Power - Z3 Located directly in the middle of the Dark World, the Pyramid of Power is where Ganon hid from Link after the Hero of Time stormed his Tower and defeated his servant Agahnim. This was the stage for one of the most ferocious battles of all time. After days of struggle, Link became the victor by piercing Ganon's soul with the power of Silver Arrows. The King of Evil was not completely defeated, but he was once again securely sealed within the Dark World. Quadruplet Family - Z4 Made famous by their many children, the Quadruplet Family lived in Mabe Village at the time when Link arrived on Koholint Island. The family played a very important role in helping Link to eventually find the Magnifying Glass. Quake Medallion - Z3 The Quake Medallion is a golden seal carved with the symbol of harmonious wavy lines. When used, it produces a ground-shaking force which can damage enemies and open certain doors. Queen Gohma - Z5 Queen Gohma was the gigantic armored arachnid who plagued the Great Deku Tree. Though heavily armored, Link was able to find a weak point in her bulbous eye. Raccoon - Z4 When Link attempted to enter the Mysterious Woods during his exploration of Koholint Island, he was constantly harassed by an unusual Raccoon. Soon, Link discovered that the Raccoon was actually his friend Tarin who had been cursed. Raft - Z1, Z2 When more luxurious modes of transportation weren't available, Link was known to use a raft to cross large bodies of water. Rapids Ride - Z4 The residents of Koholint Island love to participate in outdoor sports, and the Rapids Ride which takes place on the Koholint River is one of their favorite ways to commune with nature. Riding on a small raft, adventurous sportsmen try to stay afloat as they tumble through the raging waters of the Koholint River. Rauru - Z5 Rauru, the architect of the Temple of Time, is the Sage to the Temple of Light and protector of the doorway to the Sacred Realm. Rauru helped Link to seal Ganon in the Dark World by presenting Link with the Light Medallion. Rauru, Town of - Z2 Rauru is a small town in central Hyrule named after Rauru, Sage to the Temple of Light. Razor Sword - Z6 The Razor Sword is an intensely sharp blade forged by the Mountain Smithy in Termina's Northern Mountain. It's name adequately describes its cutting power, but it can only be used 100 times before the razor edge becomes dull. Razor Traps - Z1, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6 Razor Traps are a common sight in Hyrule's dungeons and palaces. These lightning-quick devices strike with ferocious accuracy whenever they detect motion. Red Bubble - Z5, Z6 Red Bubbles are disembodied skulls surrounded by a crimson fire. They bounce along the ground searching for fleshy victims to attack. Red Candle - Z1 When lit, the Red Candle has the power to light up a room or burn down a bush. Unlike the Blue Candle, the Red Candle can be used over and over again without waiting for the wax to regenerate. Red Ice - Z5 Red Ice possesses a magical power which makes it invulnerable to heat. The only way to melt Red Ice is by using the intense heat which radiates from Blue Fire. Red Mail - Z3 Red Mail is a type of armor worn by warriors to greatly reduce the damage they receive from enemy attacks. Red Mail is much more resilient than Blue Mail. Red Potion - Z3, Z5, Z6 When ingested, Red Potions have the power to replenish energy. Red Ring - Z1 When a warrior is struck while wearing the Red Ring, the blow is only one-quarter as powerful as it would be normally. Red Shield - Z3 Colored to match the blood of its owner's enemies, the Red Shield provides trustworthy protection from the strongest of onslaughts. Red Tunic - Z4.5 The Red Tunic is a magical garment found in the Secret Dungeon on Koholint Island. It increases the offensive power of whoever wears it. ReDead - Z5, Z6 ReDead are walking corpses with skeletal bodies and masked heads. The sight of a ReDead is so repulsive that passers-by have been known to freeze in their tracks from fear. Reflect Spell - Z2 During Link's quest to recover the six shards of the Magic Crystal, Link frequently used the power of magical Spells. Link used the Reflect Spell to create a special barrier on his shield which could easily reflect magical attacks back to their source. Requiem of Spirit - Z5 Link played the eerie notes of this valuable tune whenever he wished to warp directly to the entrance of the Spirit Temple. According to ancient scrolls, the Requiem of Spirit was played by pressing A, Down, A, Right, Down, A. Ricky - Z7, Z8 Ricky was a spirited boxing Kangaroo who helped Link survive his adventures in Labrynna and Holodrum. Ricky frequently carried Link in her pouch, and helped the hero to hop over small holes. Ribbon - Z4 During his adventure on Koholint Island, Link made Quadruplets' Mother very happy by giving her the Yoshi Doll. In return, Link received the Ribbon. Link made similar trades like this with many of the island's inhabitants, and in the end his kindness was rewarded with the Magnifying Glass. River Devil - Z2 For years, a giant spider known as the River Devil blocked the road south of Nabooru town. Link was able to drive the River Devil away by playing a song on the Flute. Rock Sirloin - Z6 Rock Sirloin is a favorite meal among Gorons. Gorons enjoy eating rocks, but their carnivorous desires are fulfilled by this choice cut of flesh. Served rare by Goron chefs, Rock Sirloin is even enjoyed by Hyrulians on occasion. Roc's Feather - Z4, Z7, Z8 The magical power of Roc's Feather allows the person holding it to jump through the air as if he were light as a feather. Rod of Seasons - Z8 The Rod of Seasons was a powerful instrument which Link used to manipulate the seasons in Holodrum. One swipe of the Rod of Seasons could change winter to spring, spring to summer, summer to fall, or fall to winter. Rolling Bones - Z4 Link encountered Rolling Bones while exploring the Tail Cave and Turtle Rock Dungeon on Koholint Island. Rolling Bones himself was a small creature, but he used his strength to roll a large spiked log across the dungeon floor. Romani - Z6 Romani is the name of a young girl who once lived in Termina. Romani Ranch was named after her, and she is still famous among the ranchers for her incredible skill in the art of archery. Romani's Mask - Z6 This cow-shaped mask allows its owner to communicate more thoroughly with both animals and Gossip Stones. Romani Ranch - Z6 Very similar to Hyrule's Lon Lon Ranch, Romani Ranch is a peaceful area where Romani's family raises cows, cuccos and horses. Romani Ranch is even equipped with a Doggy Racetrack for lighthearted weekend fun. Room Key - Z6 Room Keys are used to enter the guest rooms found in Termina's Stock Pot Inn. Rosa Sisters - Z6 Lovely even in their later years, the Rosa Sisters were the best dancers to ever perform the traditional Carnival Dance for Clock Town's famous Carnival of Time. Royal Guard - See Hyrulian Soldiers Royal Tomb - Z5 Located in the Graveyard, the Royal Tomb is where members of Hyrule's Royal Family are buried. Rupees - Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6, Z7, Z8 Rupees are the official currency of Hyrule. Although the barter system is still used frequently throughout the land, Rupees are becoming increasingly common. The Royal Family introduced the Rupee to Hyrule after severe storms ruined the crops of many farmers. A Rupee's value is determined by its color. Green - 1 Rupee Blue - 5 Rupees Red - 20 Rupees Purple - 50 Rupees Silver - 100* Giant (Gold) - 200 Rupees *In Hyrule, Silver Rupees are viewed by many as tokens of good fortune. Sahasrahla - Z3 Sahasrahla, the elder of Kakariko Village, was a descendant of the Hylian people who forged the Master Sword. He fled when Agahnim's forces gained control of Hyrule Castle and instructed Link on how to find the Master Sword. Sahasrahla's Temple - Z3 When Sahasrahla the elder found out that Agahnim's forces had gained control of Hyrule Castle, he fled to a this temple just west of the castle to hide. When Link visited the Elder, he received valuable advice as well as the Pegasus Shoes. Sakon - Z6 Sakon is the name of a common thief who plagued the merchants of Clock Town. He would likely have long ago been forgotten, but Link foiled his plans on one occasion and the story has been a favorite tale in Termina ever since. Sale - Z4 Sale is the name of an adventurous alligator who played a major role in helping Link to find the Magnifying Glass while on Koholint Island. Sanctuary - Z3 Found east of the Graveyard and north of Hyrule Castle, the Sanctuary is one of the oldest structures in Hyrule. It was supposed to be a place of peace, but history shows that it was once the site of a brutal battle. Link and Zelda visited this Sanctuary after escaping from the evil wizard Agahnim. Saria - Z5 Saria was one of Link's first and closest friends. She was an elfin child of the Kokiri Forest, and unlike the other children, she refused to make fun of Link for being an outsider and not having a guardian fairy. Later, Link learned that Saria was in fact the Sage to the Forest Temple, holder of the Forest Medallion. Saria, Town of - Z2 Saria is a small town in western Hyrule named after Saria, Sage to the Forest Temple. Saria's Song - Z5 Link's good friend Saria from Kokiri Forest taught him this lovely tune just before he embarked on the most dangerous portion of his quest. Whenever Link felt lonely or confused, he played this song on the Ocarina to hear a message from his friend. According to ancient scrolls, Saria's Song was played by pressing Down, Right, Left, Down, Right, Left. Scarecrows - Z5, Z6 Found frequently throughout Hyrule and Termina, the humble Scarecrows unwittingly found a place in history by keeping Link company. Legend has it that Link would often hang out with the Scarecrow all day and night, dancing vigorously to pass the time. Scarecrow's Song - Z5, Z6 When Link played the Scarecrow's Song, his good friend the Scarecrow would appear to help. Link was particularly fond of this tune, because the Scarecrow allowed him to compose it himself. Sea Horse - Z6 Sea Horses are beautiful golden creatures fond of playfully swimming in the blue waters of Termina's Great Bay Coast. Sea Lily Bell - Z4 One of the eight Instruments of the Sirens, the Sea Lily Bell was wrought by mermaids to summon their offspring whenever a thick fog rolled onto the Great Sea. Link combined the power of the Sea Lily Bell with the other Instruments of the Sirens to wake the Wind Fish on Koholint Island. Sea Snake - Z6 Sea Snakes are long, green eels who aggressively hunt their prey in the waters of Termina. Sea Urchin - Z4 Sea Urchins live in the Great Sea surrounding Koholint Island. When they wash up on shore, their spiky bodies can make travel along the beach quite treacherous. Seashell - Z4 Secret Shells were collected by Link during his travels through Koholint Island. He traded his large collection of Secret Shells for a powerful sword at the Seashell Mansion. Seashell Mansion - Z4 The Seashell Mansion is located in Koholint Island's Ukuku Prairie. During Link's quest to wake the Wind Fish, he collected many Seashells and returned them to the mansion to receive a more powerful sword to use during his adventure. Secret Dungeon - Z4.5 The Secret Dungeon is found beneath the Cemetery on Koholint Island. Link explored this dungeon during this quest to wake the Wind Fish, and was forced to solve many puzzles based solely on color. When he defeated the dungeon guardian, the Great Fairy rewarded him with the choice to accept either the Red or Blue Tunic. Secret Medicine - Z4 When ingested, Secret Medicine replenishes drained energy. Secret Shell - See "Seashell" Serenade of Water - Z5 Link played the bubbly notes of this magical song whenever he wished to warp to Lake Hylia. According to ancient scrolls, the Serenade of Water was played by pressing A, Down, Right, Right, Left. Shabom - Z5 The Shabom is certainly not the most intelligent enemy found on the face of Hyrule. Shaboms are nothing more than parasitic bubbles which randomly float around the stomach of their hosts. Shadow Bot - Z4 During Link's final battle in Koholint Island's Wind Fish Egg, he faced a series of dark guardians. The fist of these monsters was Shadow Bot, a massive blob of evil which wildly bounced around the room. Shadow Medallion - Z5 This token served as a physical symbol of the power of Impa, Sage of the Shadow Temple. Link used the combined power of seven Spiritual Medallions such as this to seal Ganon in the Dark World. Shadow Temple - Z5 Lying behind the Kakariko Graveyard, the Shadow Temple was built with the blood and bones of Hyrule's evil dead. A labyrinth of illusions and puzzles, the Shadow Temple is a tangle of illusions and puzzles, each designed to add another resident to its already overflowing crypts. Sheik - Z5 The youth known as Sheik appeared in Hyrule after Link returned to the Temple of Time as an adult. Sheik always covered her face and muffled her voice to protect her identity, but Link soon learned that this helpful soul was in fact his good friend Princess Zelda. Her unusual dress and demeanor came from being raised as a Sheikah by her protector Impa. Sheikah Stones - Z5, Z6 Working as the eyes and ears of Hyrule and Termina, Sheikah Stones are scattered over both lands. No one has ever been able to completely understand their mysterious ways, but in the past they were known to provide unusual information to those wearing the long-lost Mask of Truth. Shell Blade - Z5 Shell Blades are aggressive crustaceans which are surprisingly mobile for their simple anatomy. Razor-sharp teeth growing on the outside of their shells suggest a carnivorous diet. Shield Spell - Z2 When a traditional shield isn't available, the Shield Spell can create a protective barrier in a pinch. Link was known to use the Shield Spell when times were rough. Shiro - Z6 Shiro is the name of Terminan soldier who, for some mysterious reason, had instantly turned invisible at the junction between Ikana Canyon and the Ikana Graveyard. Link helped this unknown soldier by providing him with a Potion. Shooting Gallery - Z5, Z6 A recreational facility where players attempt to shoot Rupees with arrows. Shovel - Z3, Z4, Z7, Z8 The Shovel is a tool used throughout Hyrule to dig holes in the ground. Signpost Maze - Z4 Found west of the Pothole Field on Koholint Island, the Signpost Maze is confusing collection of misleading signs designed to befuddle anyone who attempts to pass through. Silver Arrows - Z1, Z3 Silver Arrows are magical items which have the power to destroy those who are truly evil. Twice, Link used the overwhelming force of the Silver Arrow to overthrow the King of Evil, Ganon. Silver Gauntlets - Z5 The Silver Gauntlets are said to contain the power of an army, and any person who wears them is able to lift impossible weights. Silver Scale - Z5 The Silver Scale is an actual scale plucked from the body of Zora. When someone holds the Silver Scale, he or she is able to dive much deeper than before. Sinking Lure - Z5 Fishing is a popular past time in Hyrule, and the most coveted lure of all is the Sinking Lure. The Sinking Lure can be pulled along the bottom of any fishing hole, to attract the biggest fish. Skull Dungeon - Z3 Found only in the Dark World, the Skull Dungeon is one of the seven Palaces Link explored during his quest to recover the Crystals necessary to unlock Ganon's Tower. Within its walls, Link found the Fire Rod and defeated the dungeon guardian named Mothula. Skull Kid - Z5, Z6 The term "Skull Kid" refers to any of the young imps who inhabit the Lost Woods. Legend has it that any non-Kokiri soul who enters the Lost Woods is transformed into a Skull Kid. One Skull Kid has become much more famous than the rest by stealing Majora's Mask and leading Link on a treacherous adventure through the troubled land of Termina. Skull Mask - Z5 The Skull Mask is designed to resemble the often-hid face of Skull Kids. When wearing the Skull Mask, anyone who approaches a Skull Kid is treated much more kindly. Skullfish - Z6 Skullfish are small skeleton fish with razor-sharp teeth. They have no bellies to feed, but they truly enjoy causing pain to the living. Skulltula Token - Z5, Z6 When a Gold Skulltula is destroyed, it leaves behind a Skulltula Token. Many adventurers, including Link, collected these Tokens to prove how many Skulltulas they had destroyed. Skullwalltula - Z5 Skullwalltulas are similar to Gold Skulltulas, but they are much less dangerous. Their bodies are not armored, which makes them vulnerable to attack from any angle. Sleepy Toadstool - Z4 The Sleepy Toadstool is only found on Koholint Island. It is a crucial ingredient used to manufacture Magic Powder. Slime Eel - Z4 Slime Eel was the guardian of the Catfish's Maw, where Link recovered the Wind Marimba on his quest to wake the Wind Fish. The Slime Eel was a master of deceit, spawning clones of itself to trick Link into attacking the wrong villain. Slime Eyes - Z4 Slime Eyes was the guardian of the Key Cavern, where Link recovered the Sea Lily Bell on his quest to wake the Wind Fish. Slime Eyes was a massive eyeball with the ability to divide into smaller, more aggressive versions of itself. Slime Key - Z4 The Slime Key is used to open the main entrance to the Slime Cavern on Koholint Island. Small Key - Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6, Z7, Z8 Small Keys are used to unlock doors within dungeons and other structures. Smasher - Z4 Link encountered Smasher while exploring the Face Shrine and the Turtle Rock Dungeon on Koholint Island. Though small, this playful creature had the strength to pick up a huge cannonball and hurl it through the air toward Link. Smithy's House - Z3 Found in the southeast corner of the Village of the Outcasts, the Smithy's House is where Link commissioned his sword to be tempered Snake - See "Bomb Eater" Snake Rope - Z4 Snake Ropes are small, mostly harmless snakes found frequently all over Koholint Island. Snapper - Z3, Z6 Snappers are large turtles with spiked shells. When an enemy approaches, they begin to spin wildly. Snowhead - Z6 Snowhead is a peak found in Termina's Northern Mountain. When the area was cursed by the magic of Majora's Mask, Snowhead was where the subzero winds which plagued the Goron people were originating. Snowhead Temple - Z6 Snowhead Temple is a blustery maze of ice, snow and nasty enemies. Link bravely conquered this Terminan temple by using the power of the Fire Arrow, which he found within the Temple Walls. Sonata of Awakening - Z6 In the world of Termina, Link used the Sonata of Awakening to summon the Woodfall Temple and also to rouse sleeping creatures from their slumber. According to ancient scrolls, the Sonata of Awakening was played by pressing Up, Left, Up, Left, A, Right, A. Song of Double Time - Z6 When Link explored the world of Termina, time was of the essence. Whenever he wished to speed up the passage of time, Link would play the Song of Double Time on his Ocarina. According to ancient scrolls, the Song of Double Time was played by pressing Right, Right, A, A, Down, Down. Song of Healing - Z6 While exploring the world of Termina, Link learned this tune from the Happy Mask Salesman, who used it to free Link from the Deku Scrub curse. Song of Soaring - Z6 Kaepora Gaebora taught this useful tune to Link while he was traveling to the Woodfall Temple in Termina. Song of Time - Z5, Z6 As a boy, Link learned the Song of Time from Princess Zelda herself. Link used this song frequently in Hyrule, and he was even able to take advantage of its spiritual notes when exploring Termina. Southern Swamp - Z6 South of Clock Town and across Termina Field lies the lush land of the Southern Swamp. This rich environment is full of all types of life, but the most dominant life form in this area is the Deku Scrub. The Deku Palace is found deep within the Southern Swamp, and somewhere beneath its thick waters the Woodfall Temple is found. Spark - Z4 Found within the many dungeons of Koholint Island, Sparks are fast-moving entities that zip along the edges of blocks and walls searching for food. Spell Spell - Z2 During Link's quest to recover the six shards of the Magic Crystal, Link frequently used the power of magical Spells. Link used the Spell Spell to weaken his enemies and to make hidden buildings appear. Spike - Z5 Spikes scurry along the bottom of Hyrule's waterways, looking for intruders in their territory to attack. While resting they resemble simple rocks, but when agitated they sprout metallic spikes ready to skewer anything in their path. Spiked Beetle - Z4 Native to Koholint Island, Spiked Beetles are small insects with incredibly hard spiked shells. Like its cousin the Spiny Beetle, the only way to defeat a Spiked Beetle is to flip it on its back. Spin Attack - Z1, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6, Z7, Z8 The Spin Attack was made famous by Link, but it is now a normal technique used by the Royal Guard. The technique can be enhanced by magical power granted by the Great Fairy. Spiny Beetle - Z4, Z7, Z8 Spiny Beetles are small insects with incredibly hard spiny shells. Like its cousin the Spiked Beetle, the only way to defeat a Spiny Beetle is to flip it on its back. Spirit Temple - Z5 Far out on the desert sands lies the Spirit Temple of the Gerudo, a place where treasures and mysteries have been buried for ages. The entire shrine was constructed by the female masons and engineers of the Gerudo people. Link was first Hylian male to ever set foot inside the Spirit Temple. Spirit Medallion - Z5 This token served as a physical symbol of the power of Nabooru, Sage of the Spirit Temple. Spiritual Stones - Z5 Like the Triforce, the Kokiri's Emerald, Goron's Ruby and Zora's Sapphire are said to be tokens of some higher power. They were hidden from mortal eyes for many centuries, but Link bore them through great peril and used them to open the door to the Golden Land in the Temple of Light. Spooky Mask - Z5 Carved from ancient tree bark, the Spooky Mask is commonly used in Hyrule during festivals and in practical jokes. Springwater - Z6 Springwater refers to any fresh, unpolluted water found in Hyrule or Termina. Springwater Cave - Z6 Springwater Cave is located in the eastern region of Termina's Ikana Canyon. Stalchid - Z5, Z6 Stalchidren are skeletal creatures who were never flesh and bone. They hunt their prey in large packs, and will only appear once the sun has set. Stalfos Knights - Z1, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z7, Z8 Stalfos Knights are fallen warriors who refuse to give up their fight. They haunt dark dungeons and try to impede the progress of anyone trying to battle the forces of dark power. Star - Z4 Named after the shape of their bodies, Stars are small creatures who spin around the dark rooms of Koholint Island's most dangerous dungeons. Stinger - Z5 Stingers are unusual creatures that can either swim underwater or fly through the air. Individual Stingers don't pose a serious threat, but when they gather in large groups they can easily overwhelm an enemy. Stone Beak - Z4.5 Found in many of Koholint Island's dark dungeons, Stone Beaks are placed in Owl Statues to allow the stone birds to speak. Stone Hinox - Z4 Link encountered the Stone Hinox while exploring the Secret Dungeon on Koholint Island. This beast was bursting with rocky muscles, and was strong enough to pick Link up and toss him around the room. Stone Mask - Z6 The Stone Mask gives its owner the power of stealth. While wearing it, a person can pass by most of the wild animals in Termina without being noticed. Stone of Agony - Z5 The Stone of Agony is the companion relic to the Lens of Truth. While the Lens allows its owner to see what normal eyes can not, the Stone lets its owner feel a powerful trembling when something strange is near. It vibrates whenever it passes near hidden treasure or a secret grotto. Stone Tower - Z6 The Stone Tower was constructed to serve as a gauntlet for pilgrims to prove their worth while traveling to the Stone Tower Temple in the Ikana Canyon region of northeastern Termina. Stone Tower Temple - Z6 The Stone Tower Temple is truly a marvel of Terminan architecture. To guard the many secrets of the Temple, its ancient architects actually designed a mechanized system which allows the entire Temple to rotate. Link visited the Stone Tower Temple during his quest to save Termina, and defeated the giant masked insect Twinmold. Stray Fairy - Z6 Due to the power of Majora's Mask, Skull Kid shattered the Great Fairies of Termina into tiny fairies known as Stray Fairies. Link gained great favor from the Great Fairies by gathering these Stray Fairies and returning them to their proper Fairy Fountains. Sun's Song - Z5 Link learned the timeless notes to this powerful song while exploring a secret passageway in the Graveyard. When played correctly, it could turn day to night or night to day. According to ancient scrolls, the Sun's Song was played by pressing Right, Down, Up, Right, Down, Up. Super Bomb - Z3 Frequently compared to the Goron's Powder Key, the Super Bomb is much more powerful than a regular Bomb. Only offered to qualified buyers, the bright-orange Super Bomb was sold for 100 Rupees when Link purchased his. Surf Harp - Z4 One of the eight Instruments of the Sirens, the Surf Harp produces ethereal melodies from strings made of sea gold. Swordsman's School - See "Mighty Training Center" Swamp Palace - Z3 Found only in the Dark World, the Swamp Palace is one of the seven Palaces Link explored during his quest to recover the Crystals necessary to unlock Ganon's Tower. Within its walls, Link found the Hookshot and defeated the Palace guardian named Arrghus. Swamp Spider House - Z6 Isolated in the midst of Termina's Southern Swamp, the Swamp Spider House was once infested with dozens of Gold Skulltulas. One unlucky human was cursed by these spider-like monsters, until Link exterminated the entire horde and lifted the unholy curse. Tabahl Wasteland - Z4 Located directly north of the Cemetery on Koholint Island, the Tabahl Wasteland is a deserted portion of the island where no rain has fallen for many years. Tael - Z6 Brother of Tatl, Tael is a mischevious little fairy famous for his Terminan adventure with Link. He and his sister joined Skull Kid as he wreaked havoc on Termina, but when Skull Kid abandoned Tatl he began to wonder whether or not Skull Kid's shenanigans were more than mere fun and games. Tail Cave - Z4 Found on Koholint Island, the Tail Cave is one of the eight dungeons Link conquered during his quest to wake the Wind Fish. In the Cave, Link found Roc's Feather and defeated Moldorm to get the Full Moon Cello. Tail Key - Z4 The Tail Key is used to open the main entrance to the Tail Cave on Koholint Island. Tailpasaran - Z5 The Tailpasaran are parasitic tapeworms with survive within the digestive tracts of their hosts. Electricity flows through their slender bodies, which makes them incredibly difficult to exterminate. Takkuri - Z6 Takkuri is a breed of slow-flying vultures famous for their ability to pick the pockets of careless travelers. Tal Tal Heights - Z4 The foothills surrounding the Tal Tal Mountain Range are collectively referred to as the Tal Tal Heights. Tal Tal Mountain Range - Z4 The Tal Tal Mountain Range is a jagged group of mountains completely covering the northern face of Koholint Island. Talon - Z5 Talon was the original owner of Lon Lon Ranch. He spent most of his days sleeping, but he was known to show great spirit and determination when training his cuccos. Talon's only daughter was a lovely young girl named Malon. Tarin - Z4 Tarin was the father of Marin and the only man nice enough to provide Link with food and shelter when he washed up on the Toronbo Shores. In addition to giving Link a shield, Tarin played an important role in helping Link figure out where to find the Magnifying Glass. Tatl - Z6 Sister of Tael, Tatl is a mischevious little fairy famous for her Terminan adventure with Link. She and her brother joined Skull Kid as he wreaked havoc on Termina, but Tatl was abandoned by Skull Kid and left to travel with Link. Soon, she saw the error of Skull Kid's ways. Tektites - Z1, Z4, Z5, Z6, Z7, Z8 Tektites are spidery enemies which can jump directly into the air to launch an attack. Red Tektites live on land, while Blue Tektites survive by skimming across the surface of lakes and other wet locations. Tempered Sword - Z3 The Tempered Sword is a powerful weapon which has been fortified by the heavy hammer of a blacksmith. Temple of Time - Z5 Protected by Sage Rauru, the Temple of Time is the hallowed gateway between Hyrule and the Sacred Realm. The Temple of Time is also home to the Pedastal of Time, where the Master Sword was held until Link was able to draw it from the stone. Termina - Z6 When Hyrule was created by the three goddesses at the beginning of time, there were certain side effects of its creation which Din, Nayru and Farore did not anticipate. As the three holy women breathed life into the world and chased away Emptiness, their potent breath slipped through tiny cracks in the folds of space and created millions of alternate worlds in the process. One of these worlds became the land known as Termina. It is possible that we would know nothing of Termina's existence if Link had not been led there by the mischevious actions of Skull Kid. Termina is very similar to Hyrule, but at the same time extremely different. Termina Field - Z6 Clock Town was built in the middle of Termina Field. The greenbelt of the field circles the city and borders just about every type of environment -- a wooded swamp to the south, frozen mountains to the north, roaring oceans to the west, rocky canyons to the east and pastoral farmland down Milk Road to the southwest. Three Eye Rock Palace - Z2 Located in southern Hyrule, Three Eye Rock Palace was visited by Link during his quest to recover the shards of the Magic Crystal and rouse Princess Zelda from her unnatural slumber. Within the Palace walls, Link found the Cross and defeated Barba. Three of a Kind - Z4 Link encountered Three of a Kind while exploring the Tail Cave and Eagle's Tower on Koholint Island. The Three of a Kind was made up of three individual monsters, each with flashing symbols on its chest. The only way to defeat this unusual team of attackers was to strike each one when the same symbol was displayed on their chests. Thunder Drum - Z4 One of the eight Instruments of the Sirens, the Thunder Drum has the power to quicken the pulse of anyone who hears its rhythmic call. Link combined the power of the Thunder Drum with the other Instruments of the Sirens to wake the Wind Fish on Koholint Island. Thunder Spell - Z2 During Link's quest to recover the six shards of the Magic Crystal, Link frequently used the power of magical Spells. Link used the Thunder Spell to damage multiple enemies at the same time. This Spell also played a crucial role in Link's struggle against Thunderbird in the Great Palace. Thunderbird - Z2 Thunderbird was one of the guardians of the Great Palace, where Link defeated Dark Link and successfully roused Princess Zelda from her unnatural slumber. Tijo - Z6 Tijo was a famous percussionist in the all-Zora rock band The Indigo-Go's. Tingle - Z6 Tingle was one of Termina's most eccentric citizens. He firmly believed that he would one day find a fairy guardian, and he kept his head in the clouds. To make money, Tingle made maps and sold them throughout Termina. Titan's Mitt - Z3 Anyone wearing the Titan's Mitt is instantly granted the strength necessary to lift extremely heavy objects which would normally seem impossible. Tokay - Z7 Link discovered the Tokay race on one of Labrynna's most remote islands. These reptilian creatures have an uncanny knack for skillful bartering, and a typically friendly disposition. Torch Slug - Z5 Torch Slugs are small, burning blobs who mindlessly bounce toward their prey. Toronbo Shores - Z4 The Toronbo Shores is a sandy region found on the southernmost tip of Koholint Island. Tower of Hera - Z3 Raised high above Death Mountain, the Tower of Hera is one of the three Palaces Link explored during his quest to recover the three Pendants of Virtue. He was rewarded with the Pendant of Wisdom after defeating the Moldorm who severed as Palace guardian. Town Land Title Deed - Z6 In Termina, Land Title Deeds were issued to Deku Scrubs so that they could keep track of which Deku Flowers were owned and which were still up for grabs. Trading Post - Z6 Located in West Clock Town, the 24-hour Trading Post is an excellent place to buy all sorts of supplies. Treasure Bag - Z2 During Link's quest to recover the six missing shards of the Magic Crystal, he collected many Treasure Bags to increase his experience points and build his power. Treasure Box Shop - Z5, Z6 Games of chance have always been incredibly fashionable in Hyrule and encourage by the Royal Family. Located in the Hyrule Castle Market, the Treasure Box Shop rewards good guesses with Rupees and Pieces of Heart. A similar installation can be found in East Clock Town in Termina. The Triforce - Z1, Z3, Z5, Z7, Z8 The holy Triforce was created by three Goddesses to serve as a symbol of their sacred bond with Hyrule -- the world they had created. The Goddess Din offered the Triforce of Power, Nayru contributed the Triforce of Wisdom, and Farore presented the Triforce of Courage. Combined, the three pieces formed the ultimate sacred Triforce. The Triforce was held in the Sacred Realm until the King of Evil interfered, at which time the holy token was placed in the care of the Royal Family. Frequently, Link was forced to struggle against the forces of evil to keep the Triforce out of the wrong hands. Currently, the Triforce is held in a safe place known only to the great Sages. Trinexx - Z3 Trinexx was the guardian of Turtle Rock Dungeon, where Link recovered a magical Crystal on his quest to unlock the entrance to Ganon's Tower. Trinexx lived in a turtle statue, which protected its two ugly heads from attack. Turtle Rock Dungeon - Z3, Z4 In Hyrule: Found in the Dark World, the Turtle Rock Dungeon is one of the seven Palaces Link explored during his quest to recover the Crystals necessary to unlock Ganon's Tower. Within its walls, Link found the Mirror Shield and defeated the Palace guardian named Trinexx. On Koholint Island: Found on Koholint Island, the Turtle Rock Dungeon is one of the eight dungeons Link conquered during his quest to wake the Wind Fish. In the Dungeon, Link found the Magic Rod and defeated Hot Head to get the Thunder Drum. Twinmold - Z6 Twinmold is the name of a giant masked insect which once fiercely guarded Termina's Stone Tower Temple. Twinrova - Z5 Twinrova is the collective name of two sorceress sisters, Koume and Kotake. The fearsome pair guarded the Spirit Temple using the combined power of fire and ice. Link was able to defeat these two sisters by turning their awesome power against them with the Mirror Shield. Ukuku Prairie - Z4 Found on south-central Koholint Island, the Ukuku Prairie is a large region covered with many trees and rocks. Up Thrust - Z2 The Up Thrust is a special battle technique made famous by Link in which a warrior jumps into the air and strikes his enemy with a sword during the ascent. Veran - Z7 Known as the Sorceress of Shadows, Veran was a power-hungry magician who attempted to conquer Labrynna by kidnapping Din, Oracle of Ages. Her plans were ultimately foiled by Link's heroic actions. Village of the Outcasts - Z3 Found in the same location as Kakariko Village in the Light World, Ganon's power turned this dismal village into a rundown town of animal-like thieves. Vitreous - Z3 Vitreous was the guardian of the Misery Mire Palace, where Link recovered a magical Crystal on his quest to unlock the entrance to Ganon's Tower. Vitreous's body consisted of a gigantic eyeball, which was sounded by smaller eyes willing to hurl themselves at Link. Volvagia - Z5 Volvagia guarded the Fire Temple for many years until Link extinguished its burning flames. It flew through the air in a blaze of fiery light and dove unharmed through pools of molten lava. Two great horns protruded from its head, and it used its three-fingered claws to pick the flesh from its victims' bones. Link was able to defeat Volvagia thanks to the power of the Megaton Hammer. Wallmaster - Z1, Z5, Z6, Z7, Z8 Wallmasters are devious creatures who rely on the element of surprise. They crawl along the ceiling or inside dungeon walls, waiting to grab their prey. Since they are nothing more than large hands, they are perfectly designed to carry their victims away. In some regions, the term "Clutch" is used to refer to these creatures. Water Cephalopod - Z4 Link encountered the Water Cephalopod while exploring the Angler's Tunnel on Koholint Island. This creature is believed to belong to the Octorok family due to its bulbous head, multiple legs, and backside vulnerability. Water Medallion - Z5 This token served as a physical symbol of the power of Princess Ruto, Sage of the Water Temple. Link used the combined power of seven Spiritual Medallions such as this to seal Ganon in the Dark World. Water Temple - Z5 Found deep beneath Lake Hylia, the Water Temple was erected by the Zoras as a place to worship their patron deity, Lord Jabu-Jabu. Water of Life - Z1 When ingested, the Water of Life replenishes drained energy. Waterfall of Wishing - Z3 The Waterfall of Wishing is where a kind fairy lives who uses her magical power to improve the quality of some weapons and items. Watergate - Z3 Though the Watergate is located in the Light World, it has the power to manipulate the water level in the Swamp Palace which is found in the Dark World. Western Ocean - Z6 The Western Ocean is the vast expanse of water which lies on the western coast of Termina. Its waters are home to many species of plants and animals, but the most advanced life forms which live in its waters are the Zora. Whirling Blade Technique - See Spin Attack. White Boes - Z6 White Boes are small white masses with beady yellow eyes. They normally travel in packs and try to overcome their victims by attacking from multiple directions at once. White Sword - Z1 The White Sword was used by Link in his quest to recover the shattered pieces of the Triforce of Wisdom. Though not as powerful as the Master Sword, this trusty blade was able to cut through armor and pierce the thick skin of Hyrule's most ferocious enemies. Whistle - Z1 The Whistle is a magical musical instrument similar to the Ocarina of Time. When played correctly, it has the power to open locked doors and damage some enemies. White Wolfos - Z5 White Wolfos are just as blood-crazed as their gray cousins, but these toothy carnivores live in sub-zero climates. Wild Mushrooms - Z6 Terminan Wild Mushrooms are small purple fungi with yellow stems. These delicacies are often eaten or used in the production of Magic Potions. Wind Fish - Z4 The Wind Fish is gigantic winged whale with elaborate body markings and covered with ornate jewelry. The Wind Fish is believed to be nearly as old as Hyrule itself. The Wind Fish slept within the Wind Fish Egg on Koholint Island until Link used the eight Instruments of the Sirens to wake it from its slumber. The mystical creature then took to the sky, and has not been seen since. Wind Fish Egg - Z4 Found high on Koholint Island's Mount Tamaranch, the Wind Fish Egg is a mysterious structure constructed by the Wind Fish itself to serve as a secure hibernation chamber. During Link's quest to wake the Wind Fish, he bravely entered the Wind Fish Egg and fought an intense series of battles against dark and shadowy enemies. Wind Marimba - Z4 One of the eight Instruments of the Sirens, the Wind Marimba is a beautifully carved rhythmic instrument with the potential to play nine different notes. Link combined the power of the Wind Marimba with the other Instruments of the Sirens to wake the Wind Fish on Koholint Island. Winged Boots - Z2 With the magical power of the Winged Boots, anyone can walk on water as if it were solid ground. Witch's House - Z3, Z4 Link visited two different Witch's Houses during his travels: one in northeastern Hyrule which sold potions, and one on Koholint Island which sold Magic Powder. Wizrobe - Z1, Z3, Z4, Z6, Z7, Z8 Wizrobes are feared warlocks who stalk the darkest regions of both Hyrule and Termina. They hide their hideous skeletal faces beneath heavy cloaks, and use an ancient magical power to unleash ruthless attacks on their foes. Normally, Wizrobes band together in packs of three or more. Wolfos - Z5, Z6 Wolfos are crazed canines who cry to the moon before sinking their teeth into whomever they please. Wooden Stick - Z4 During his adventure on Koholint Island, Link made Kiki the Monkey very happy by giving him the Bananas. In return, Link received the Wooden Stick. Link made similar trades like this with many of the island's inhabitants, and in the end his kindness was rewarded withthe Magnifying Glass. Wooden Sword - Z1 When no other blade was available, Link was known to use a sword carved from a block of wood. Though not very powerful, it proved to be a useful tool in Link's experienced hand. Woodfall - Z6 Woodfall is the name of a murky bog in Termina's Southern Swamp. The Woodfall Temple was submerged beneath the murky water for eons until Link raised it from its watery grave. Woodfall Temple - Z6 Also known as the Deku Temple, the Woodfall Temple is considered holy ground by most Deku Scrubs. Link became the first Hylian to walk within its stone corridors when he explored it during his quest to save Termina. Woods of Mystery - Z6 Found in Termina's Southern Swamp, the Woods of Mystery are very similar to the Lost Woods in Hyrule. The Woods of Mystery are made up of nine individual clearings, which have left many hikers utterly befuddled and unable to find the exit. Wort - Z6 Once a fierce guardian of the Great Bay Temple, Wort was a hideous mass of pink bubbles surrounding a green floating eye. Link is given credit for ridding the Temple of Wort's presence. Yarna Desert - Z4 Nestled in the extreme southeastern corner of Koholint Island, the Yarna Desert is a small arid region littered with cacti and the bones of long-forgotten travelers. Yoshi Doll - Z4 The residents of Koholint Island enjoy spoiling their children with plenty of toys. Yoshi Dolls have been one of the most popular toys on the island for some time. Zelda - See Princess Zelda Zelda's Letter - Z5 Some speculate that this famous document was a love letter, but in fact it was a legal document which allowed Link to pass through gates guarded by Hylian Soldiers. The letter was signed by Princess Zelda herself. Zelda's Lullaby - Z5 This soothing lullaby was hummed to Princess Zelda by her trusted guardian, Impa. Impa taught Link how to play Zelda's Lullaby on the Ocarina, and the Hero of Time soon discovered that the tune possessed the power to produce magical effects. According to ancient scrolls, Zelda's Lullaby was played by pressing Left, Up, right, Left, Up, Right. Zol - Z4 Native to Koholint Island, Zols pop out of the ground to surprise and attack their prey. If they are hit by an enemy, they split into miniature versions of themselves called Gels. Zola - Z1, Z3, Z4 Zola is the name given to any female Zora who turns against Hyrulians and chooses to live a life of violence. They normally hide underwater, then spit fireballs at anyone who walks by. Zombie - Z4 Zombies are walking piles of flesh and bone who haunt the area surrounding Koholint Island's Cemetery. Zora Boomerangs - Z6 Some Zora are able to manually release their arm fins and use them as projectile weapons which fly through the air like Boomerangs. The most famous Zora to use this technique was Mikau, the skilled guitarist whose body Link inhabited while wearing the Zora Mask. Zora Dungeon - Z6 The Zora Dungeon is one of the four mystical dungeons which Link explored while inside Termina's Moon. Zora Eggs - Z6 Even though it's easy to think of Zoras as mammals, they are actually much closer in biological terms to fish than to humans. Zoras reproduce by laying Zora Eggs. Zora Hall - Z6 Located at the bottom of the Western Ocean, the Zora Hall is where the Zoras gather to watch their favorite musicians rock the house. Zora Mask - Z5, Z6 In Hyrule, the Zora Mask is little more than a child's toy. In Termina, the Zora Mask is a magical tool which allows its own to inhabit the body of Mikau, a famous Zoran musician. Zora Tunic - Z5 The Zora Tunic allows the person wearing it to breathe underwater. It was invented by the Zoras to help the Royal Family's Hylian water inspectors cleanse the riverbed of pollutants. Fish gills are sewn directly into the tunic, which the wearer is able to breath through thanks to a bit of Zoran magic. Link wore a Zora Tunic while exploring the liquid depths of the Water Temple. Zoras - Z1, Z3, Z5, Z6, Z7, Z8 When the Goddesses created Hyrule, they blessed Zora's Fountain and eventually the fish which swam in its water evolved into the Zoras we know today. They are humanoid in form, but the Zoras can survive both underwater and on land. Led by their King, the Zoras are peaceful creatures who enjoy music and sports. Zora's Domain - Z5 Behind the waterfall at the mouth of Zora's River lies Zora's Domain, home to the Zoras. The landscape is covered with deep blue pools of water, where the Zoras swim in glistening schools. King Zora's chambers lie at the heart of the Zora's Domain. Zora's Flippers - Z3 Designed by Zoras to be sold on the Hyrulian market, these form-fitting flippers can make it easy for anyone to swim in the deepest of water. Zora's River - Z5 To the east of Kakariko Village flows a river of sacred water from Zora's Fountain. Known as Zora's River, this narrow waterway leads from Hyrule Field all the way to Zora's Domain. This water source provides nearly 90% of the water supply for Hyrule. Zora's Sapphire - Z5 Zora's Sapphire is a Spiritual Stone which, when combined with two others, was once able to open the door to the Golden Land in the Temple of Time. Link recovered the Zora's Sapphire after defeating Barinade inside Lord Jabu-Jabu's Belly. Zora's Waterfall - Z3 Zora's Waterfall is a beautiful sight to behold. Located in northeastern Hyrule, its dizzying heights and crystal-clear water has the power to amaze even the most well-traveled Hyrulians. On a sunny day, the entire waterfall is covered with rainbows.
