I hope you can keep the wooden sword and take a wooden sword challenge and complete the game using the wooden sword whenever it is not required that you use a different one

Unfortuantly you can only have the Wooden Sword in the beginning of the game in Ordon Village. BUT! the longer you stay in Ordon, the longer you have the sword untill you get towards the part where you havta leave, thats when you hand the sword to a little Ordonian.
