Odd looking map. I notice also Midna as an item.
darkside  [Sep 16, 2006 at 12:28 AM]
It is a big field, and I do think making narrow paths to different areas like that is a good idea, its less disorienting.
silver_fang09  [Sep 16, 2006 at 06:37 PM]
Wow! Those are amazing graphics. The field looks amazing! This is definately worth the wait!
TKB  [Sep 16, 2006 at 10:46 PM]
Midna performs the same function as the fairies in OoT/MM, I see...
[cuccoattackforce]  [Sep 17, 2006 at 09:57 AM]
Hm, why's the bow on a directional arrow? I thought it was sent to the B-button. Correct me if I'm wrong ^^;;;
TheMastersOfSword  [Sep 17, 2006 at 08:55 PM]
I think that you can put all your items wherever you want, doesn't really need to always be on the B button. Also if you look on the B button there, there seems to be what looks like a Slingshot of some sort. looks new and different.
silver_fang09  [Sep 18, 2006 at 02:32 AM]
The thing on the B button is that thing he uses to call Epona. Some kind of grass whistle of sort.
TheMastersOfSword  [Sep 18, 2006 at 03:06 AM]
Ahh your riight, it does look like a grass whistle with a little string attached so it can go around his head or something. I wonder if this will be the instrument that replaces the usual Ocarina?
ganondorf_evil  [Sep 18, 2006 at 09:27 PM]
Everytime I look at TP screenshots it reminds me of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles.

the area is so huge!! weeee
TheMastersOfSword  [Sep 21, 2006 at 11:58 PM]
I know!!! its so big in that area, imagine the whole Hyrule Field! its so crazy to think that it will in fact take 45mins. to get from 1 end of Hyrule Field to the other.
chriskot  [Oct 16, 2006 at 08:10 PM]
Supposedly the world in this game is twice as big as the TWW world if you drained the great sea.
TKB  [Oct 16, 2006 at 11:58 PM]
WW world was 49km2, wasn't it (7km x 7km)? U telling me this game's gonna have an overworld of 'bout ONE HUNDRED SQUARE KILOMETERS?!! PLUS DUNGEONS!
chriskot  [Oct 20, 2006 at 01:14 AM]
That's what I remember hearing. Although I may be wrong. I hope I'm not. It seems possible.

December 8th. Nice My calendar is full of stuff now:
6th: Indedependance Day; 8th: Wii and TP come out; 24th: Christmas.
NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE!!!!!!!!!!!!
acita  [Oct 24, 2006 at 02:34 PM]
Looks like that bridge is closed, you probably don't have access to the whole area until further in the game
TKB  [Oct 24, 2006 at 05:54 PM]
Wonder if the map shows the entire (explorable) Hyrule fields, or a small section of it.
.Zelda.  [Oct 26, 2006 at 11:33 AM]
I've been waiting 3 years now, since that first trailer... I'm sick of waiting, this game looks perfect! .... It kinda looks like there is around 8-9 place you can go from Hyrule field, there was only 6 in Oot!
TKB  [Oct 26, 2006 at 02:36 PM]
U sure those exits go to dungeons or towns and the like? What if the map only shows part of the Fields and when you go thru one of those "exits" the map scrolls to another part of Hyrule Fields.
TheMastersOfSword  [Oct 27, 2006 at 12:16 AM]
Well on Nov.19th we'll all be happy.
chriskot  [Oct 27, 2006 at 10:59 PM]
I just noticed that you can gauge the size of the field by estimating the distance between Link and the bridge, and comparing that to the distance between the yellow arrow and the thin bright line on the map.

The fact that only area on the map is lit up indicates that Hyrule field has been subdivided but it is all on the map. To guess how big the world is:
1) Estimate the size of the entire field.
2) Add the estimated sizes of another 15 or so areas.
3) Double it all (to account for the Twilight Realm).
4) Add the rough approximate sizes of 9 or 10 dungeons.

Wow. It is big.
TKB  [Oct 28, 2006 at 12:41 AM]
On Nov.19 I'll be pissed. U yanks get it earlier. I'll stop coming to this site for a month as to avoid spoilers before I get the game.

(added nov. 1: WRRAAAAAGHH!!!!!!!!!!!! I just learned TP gets released in Finland on DECEMBER 15th!!!!!! I.....AM.....SO.....PISSSSSSSSEDD!!!!!!!!!)
star_breaker  [Nov 11, 2006 at 06:01 PM]
This is gonna be a BIG world... does anyone know when TP will be officially released in the UK?
wolflink15  [Nov 21, 2006 at 09:27 AM]
As far as the bridge being closed, maybe Epona can jump amazing distances like in the valley in OoT. And as far as the size of the feild is concerned, the bigger the better. I'm getting a little tired of riding around Termina and Hyrule fields
