among_the_dead_1027.jpgAmong the Dead580 viewsHaven't been around here in a long minute, so here's my latest Zelda piece, Among the Dead. I wanted to do a piece with Link in the graveyard with ghosts. This was the image I had in mind from the cemetery section of Zelda 1. This took me quite a while to draw at first, I couldn't quite get the pose for link right, so I kept trying different poses when I had free time. Once I finally had the pencils, it took me about a week / week and a half, on and off to Photoshop. The ghosts where somewhat difficult at first becuase the pencils for them were very unsubstantial, I pretty much had to paint them in with Photoshop. Anyway, hope you guys like it.Shady Gambino

Everyday in October she will upload only dark fanart, sometimes she'll upload other months but mostly it's October.
Anyway the drawing was pretty hard..the poses were mostly hard, and drawing Deity's sword...>< I'll never draw a man again (but I do have some ideas to redraw Dorjan and Aki, plus some other guys....) and I'll never draw a weapon by free hand ever again! You men are hard to draw, broad shoulders, big hands a triangle like body. Compare to us women it's much easier for me to draw us ^^ which I like because we're much easier.

I did this a while back for AMA 06 (an anime convention that comes to town in June) and actually sold a print of it *gasp!* Aside from the older style, it looks MUCH better than the origional (I brightened it and smudged it to look like a painting) I'm thinking about completely re-making this pic for comparison purposes (and I'd rather have a European-style dragon there. I was still a newb, so crossing over Asian style into a medieval based world was a verry newb-ish thing to do) LinkFan

Stafolsfull.jpgStalfos477 viewsMy interpretation of a stalfos. I always thought the stalfos was a sweet baddie. I like to think of a stalfos as more of a spirit or demon, that posesses the bones and courpses of the dead. Because the stafols would require the bones, limbs and weapons only for battle, It could assemble itesf from a variety of things, in a variety of shapes (someimes even adding extra limbs if need be). The only way to kill it would be to cut off its head and smash the skull, where the spirit resides in the body. Merely taking a limb off, while effective, would not keep the stalfos off for long, for it could regenerate itself with the same bones, or different bones altogether. This pic originally had three arms, to show of its abilities, but I felt it looked to corny in the pose he was in, so I lopped it off for now.Braxis
