Chapter 1: The Luna/Sun Fest

Its been eight years since Link (The Hero of Time) sealed
Ganon away. Now its time for the Luna/Sun Fest.

Every eight years in Hyrule the moon can be seen for all day and night at its fullest for three days. Link and Zelda are now in Koinse Village enjoying the many new items brought by travelers who came to see the festival.

"Hey Link, come here!"

Link walked over to see what Zelda wanted, then asked "What's going on?"

Zelda pointed at an old man and said, "You might want to hear this, Link."

Zelda and Link listened closely to an old man who looked like he had been here since this town was built and acted like it too. He had silver eyes brighter than the steel on the Master Sword and bright silver hair to match. He nodded to Zelda and Link, then spoke in a deep, even voice, as if reading from a book.

"During these three days, six jewels will appear all over the land."

"Jewels?" Zelda and Link both blurted out at the same time.

"Ok, more like figurines," the old man said.

"What do they do and why do the "jewels" only appear during these three days?" Link asked.

Zelda glared at Link with almost an evil eye.

"Shhhh, Link! Let him finish" she hissed.

"Ok," Link said with a scared look in his eye. He hated being yelled at by Zelda. Then he remembered her birthday was only three days away. If I don't come up with a present, Zelda will kill me, he thought.

The man continued his story.

The jewels only appear when the moon shines full in the day. Legend says that each jewel has a special power. Link nodded to the old man even though he thought it sounded a little strange.

"Link, lets get going!" said Zelda.

"Okay, okay, don't be in such a rush!" Link said tiredly.

"Wait! Here is something you might need!" Said the old man.

The old man handed Zelda and Link a tattered piece of parchment. They bent their heads over it and discovered it was a map of Hyrule. When they looked up, the old man was gone.

Link glanced around then said, "That’s very odd."

Zelda nodded and said, 'You can say that again."

Link grinned at her and said, "That’s very odd."

Zelda sighed and gave Link a light whack on the head.

"Hey," he said, "I was only playing and I get a whack in the head?"

"So was I," she said.

"Fine, let’s just forget it and move along," Link grumbled.

They started off walking again. Link looked at some jeweled diamond arrows, while Zelda wandered over to look at the bows.

These might make a great birthday gift for Zelda if they are not too expensive. Link said to himself.

Link looked at the price for twenty arrows and gasped, "You have to be kidding!!! Five hundred rupees!"

"Hey don't complain! The jewels in these arrows are mined from the deepest part of the Jewel Mountains. The mountains are filled with monsters," said the annoyed shopkeeper

"I see. Never mind" said Link.

Zelda looked at a silver wood bow with tiny diamonds all over.

"Wow I thought that silver wood was impossible to get," she whispered to herself. "I know this must cost thousands but it's better to wait than spend this now. I need to save this for Link's birthday which is tomorrow."

Meanwhile, deep in the Temple of Time, the seal keeping Ganon and his monsters prisoner has been steadily weakening, until it can no longer hold back the force of Ganon's rage. The seal shatters, releasing evil unto the land of Hyrule once more.

Huh, written like a play. Interesting. You are aware that you can use BBcode to make italics and such- just use HTML tags but with brackets rather than <>.

hmmmmmmmmmmmm..... good storyline but it seems to be moving a bit fast... this feels rushed. I hope to see more improvement in your next chapter.
